I thought, if George had not come into my life, I might have married that guy, had kids, and taken over the Sachs’ business together with him.

However, George shattered that possibility—literally. He broke three of the guy’s ribs and forced him to have his legs amputated, leaving him disabled for life.

That day, George was covered in blood, standing between me and the boy to stop me from even glancing in his direction.

“Luna, you belong to me. You can only ever be mine. Anyone or anything that stands in our way, I will eliminate for you, no matter the cost.”

After that, I shut myself off from the world. I did not dare interact with any other guy. I knew George was a madman, and I was terrified he would actually follow through on his threats, hurting innocent people just to keep me in line.

Then, he imprisoned me for seven years and burned the Sachs’ entire business to the ground.
