CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

Noah's POV

When I woke again, the first thing I saw was Myra's limp body beside me. The sun filters in from the window above through the curtains, painting her features with a warm, golden hue.

There she was, sleeping peacefully beside me, her breathing gentle and steady. It was a wonder that she could be so peaceful in her sleep, despite all the turmoil that seemed to surround us from every corner.

I couldn't help but admire every detail, from the way her dark hair framed her face to the clear, untroubled skin that seemed to radiate an inner peace. Her eyelids fluttered as I stared at her, and she muttered something in her sleep. She was a vision of serenity, and a strange sense of calmness washed over me as I watched her.

At that moment, I had never felt so at ease, as if all my troubles had melted away during the period of our sex. For a while, I stood there, simply watching her sleep, cherishing the quietude that had settled in my heart.
