CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN

Myra's POV

The room was charged with tension as Reyna's mother's fingers inched closer to my throat. My heart raced, fear tightening its grip around me. But just before her touch could become a reality, the door burst open with a powerful force, and Noah's thunderous voice filled the room.

"What the hell is going on in here?" he roared, his rage like a living, breathing thing.

He stood at the door, long hair billowing around his shoulders in one dark cloud. His stormy grey eyes darkened as they darted from me to Reyna's mother, then back to me.

"What was she trying to do to you, Myra?" He demanded. "Answer me!"

"I—" I started, but Reyna's mother quickly interrupted me.

She withdrew her hand from my neck, her eyes narrowing in defiance. "I'm just trying to make her see reason, Noah. This Omega is nothing but trouble."

Noah's eyes bore into Reyna's mother with an intensity that made even me shiver. "How dare you touch her?"
