CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

Noah's POV

I left Colin at the pack's border, coordinating what was left of our troops. We hadn't sustained much casualties, and it was safe to say that we had won the battle.

I moved into the trees, walking by myself silently. I could still hear the words of that rogue wolf who had called himself the Reckoning. It was as though his presence was right behind me, still whispering the words like a faint, depressing echo. I could stand whatever he had said about me, but I wasn't sure I could stand what he'd said he would do to Myra.

Slowly I turned to the pack house. My body was still pulsating from the intensity of the battle, and I felt a renewed urgency to ensure Myra's safety. The reckoning's words echoed in my mind, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this threat than met the eye.
