Chapter 8 Last Connection

Charles obviously wanted to push Yves over the edge. He could've stopped after kicking Yves out of the board. This was a bit too far, and I wondered why. Regardless, it wasn't as though I was all that curious. This was none of my business anymore.

The next day, I saw Yves downstairs. I'd just bought a whole week's worth of food and was about to film a video about it to share with my friends, but I just had to run into him.

Yves' eyes lit up when he saw me, and he quickly came up to me. "I knew you'd be here. You still remember what we said!"

Oh, right. I just remembered what we said when we got hitched. We'd get a big apartment once we made it big. The same apartment I bought. We could see Lakeside Park from across if we looked out the window. He thought I would pick this place as my new abode, and he got it right.

Thus, he had been camping out for me here. "I've been looking for you the whole month!"

I heaved a sigh and proposed we sit down for a chat. We went to a nearby coffee
