Chapter 4 The Same Excuse

Yves was stunned, but only for a moment. Then, he resumed his haughty demeanor. "I see I've overestimated you. I thought you'd grown up. I thought you would stop all these antics."

"Yves, I told you I would let go the moment I couldn't hold on any longer." And the day had come. I looked at Joyce. She was smiling, and I calmed down. "Joyce, everything you spent is post-marital assets. Assets shared between Yves and me. You will be hearing from my lawyer about repayment."

I placed the papers on the table and tapped on them. "This is a divorce meal. I want an amicable separation."

Yves threw his cutlery and the papers onto the ground. The commotion caught everyone's attention. Joyce was shocked. "Yves!"

"Shut up!" Yves roared at her, and Joyce promptly snapped her jaws shut with a click.
