Chapter Four
Theoden’s POV First, find the little bitch of Draven that my grandfather had to force on me as a dying wish. Second, let her work for me for free, as that’s the only way for her to be close. She was an orphan, though an heiress to what the Draven had left, so I’d use that to my advantage. She must be a dumb gullible one after all. Rufus returned to my office and slid the burial poster on my table. My eyes tarried on it before I nodded. He would keep it on the gate, my grandfather had wanted that and even kept a poster printed and ready. He said he wanted his enemies to breathe a sigh of relief when they’d see that he was dead. But what they wouldn’t know would be that his death marked the beginning of all their troubles because his one and only grandson still walked their earth. “Yes? You can get out now.” Rufus raised his head. “What about the girl? You said you had hit an hour ago. Is she okay now?” That had escaped my mind. I waved dismissively. “By now she must’ve gotten better. She’s a ranked wolf after all.” Another reason why I wouldn’t mind her company here. “After my grandfather’s burial, arrange immediately to go to the Draven. In fact, let it be tomorrow before that old man begin hunting me.” I noticed the small smirk on Rufus face before he left. I sighed. My old man couldn’t even encourage to keep up the family’s legacy of terror but instead, he brought a sudden member into the family. “Greta, let’s go.” I sprang up from my seat the moment I sensed him. He paused, staring at space like a fish when I passed Jim. He followed afterwards. “Boss, how did you know I was already there? This surprises me because you act a lot like my Alpha, but less creepy and you know what.” I hated when he compared me to his perverted abuser, and he kept doing that. I pulled the big ahead of me. “We are going to investigate and question the thief. You actually.” His eyes darkened and he walked faster. That’s the only thing that put him back in track – promise of violence. I didn’t know if I should be encouraging that in a seventeen year old that had his identity stolen from him by a father figure, but that was the life he got as a second chance. We arrived at the back of the Chang’s mansion, our most recent makeshift base after Rufus replaced the owners. The heirs were tied at the backyard with their cattle. Greta three the door open and cackled when he saw them mixed up with their animals more closely. I could barely recognise the pompous Chinese man that caused a fight with my grandfather. “You’re still alive.” I leaned on the wall, leaving Greta to go forward and handle him. “You wish your old man was, don’t you?” he hissed. My brows creased but they straightened when Greta’s fists landed squarely on his nose, breaking it and giving it a new shape. I shook my head slightly. “You have a bad mouth too. What other distasteful skill do you have, apart from stealing and bad mouthing?” His younger brother had a tape on his mouth so his red eyes and tear stained face were the only indication that he didn’t actually enjoy his new residence. “You know very well that it was you who broke the agreement.” The man groaned, still feeling pain from Greta’s punch. I leaned down to be on the same eye level with the liar. “That’s not how I remember it. You’re supposed to get five million dollars from the contract, and only five. Why did we end up with twenty million instead of ninety-five?” His teeth gritted and I smirked. His hair was pulled up and Greta’s fists met with his face, leaving a dent on his fat features. I watched his brother whimper as his older brother got beaten up for gritting his teeth. “If you have a better explanation, I’d hear it.” I told the boy. His eyes narrowed at me, but his hateful gaze wouldn’t do as much as a scratch to me. They only survived this long because I had been battling with my grandfather’s illness. Now that the old man died, and even pissed me off by putting me on babysitting duty, I’d be sure to vent on each of them that owed me even a cent. Greta finally let out after exhausting himself and the beaten, broken man looked like he had lost a bit of weight as he laid sprawled on the ground. “So, if I let you leave another hour, would I be getting the remaining seventy-five million? Or should I just go ahead and sell the remaining 65% of Chang Empire?” The latter would be more profitable for me, but being in business with them after this working be bad either. Also, I’d have to manage the new Chang Empire and I already had a lot to do. His breathing had slowed down, so I stretched my ‘kindness’ and gave him time to catch his breathe. “I will... I will... give back what I owe. Double it even... if you return Chang to me “ No can do. The other 35% are already up for sale to the highest bidder and that would be me. I just needed it to cause enough attention before I’d take it back. “You don’t give the options. I do. There’s a third option and that’s you dying here, your little brother becomes my new puppet in running the empire and returning my money. But of course, the empire lives so that’s good, right?” His face constructed and he folded his hands. His family would always be his weak point. I tsked, and strolled towards him. “If you doing want that, Mister Chang. Pay up. You have three hours and Greta here would let you use his secured phone to call anyone you need to. I know you have your secretary ‘s number in your head so tell her to do the needful. Afterwards, I’d release you...when I feel like it.” He had no other objections and I left the backyard and the horrible stench it was filled with. Greta stayed behind for him to make his call. I dialled Rufus number. “It seems I’d not end up being the sole owner of Chang empire so I have more time on my hand.” I exhaled, as that weight was lofted off my shoulder. “Bring the car around.” I should go get that daughter of Draven, Contract 21.Chapter Five: Donna’s POVI regretted stepping out for a freedom I didn’t deserve. When I woke up and found myself sprawled on the ground, shame engulfed me.I dusted my clothes for the fourth time as I hurried towards the house. How long had I been sprawled there like a fish out of water? I didn’t know. What if they had discovered my absence? I stood at the gate, holding my thumping chest. Those brown eyes I had seen. They made my stomach stir wrongly.I sneaked into the house and climbed up to my room, then fell on my face and caused a loud sound. My body didn’t move from that spot until the next thirty minutes.“What will I do now? It seems I can’t even escape from this place by myself. I need all the help I can get.” And by that, I needed someone to take me out of here.Should I just take the marriage and divorce him after I had gotten a bit of freedom? Many things could go wrong, but many things might still go right. I was divided.I rose from the ground and my eyes noticed the m
Chapter Six Donna’s POV It was only after leaving my house that I realized what exactly was happening – I had just been kidnapped. Why were there two huge men in suits seated with me in the back, while the Greek God sat in the passenger seat with the other man driving? They hadn’t said a word to me. “Excuse me, sirs,” I decided to break the silence. The men jolted like little kids, I swear to the Mood Goddess. I paused what I wanted to say and gave them side eyes. “Where are we going and who are you?” “You didn’t ask that when you had a choice to back out,” the Greek God spoke. “Would that change anything?” I knew for sure he was my saviour, so his words didn’t scare me. I forced a smile, despite the pain I felt. “I just want to know your names and why you saved me. I’m grateful you took me from there.” From the side mirror, I noticed his face straightened. “They had been maltreating you, hadn’t they?” I lowered my head and nodded. He must’ve had enough time to see al

She grabbed it and searched through for eligible young wolves from wealthy homes. It was creepy how they had all the information. Also, I was an official rogue like my father, yet they were trying to force me into a pack by marriage. A low ranked wolf like me wouldn’t survive it.My expression was straight, and I stayed quiet while watching this. What was I to do anyway?
