Chapter Six
Donna’s POV It was only after leaving my house that I realized what exactly was happening – I had just been kidnapped. Why were there two huge men in suits seated with me in the back, while the Greek God sat in the passenger seat with the other man driving? They hadn’t said a word to me. “Excuse me, sirs,” I decided to break the silence. The men jolted like little kids, I swear to the Mood Goddess. I paused what I wanted to say and gave them side eyes. “Where are we going and who are you?” “You didn’t ask that when you had a choice to back out,” the Greek God spoke. “Would that change anything?” I knew for sure he was my saviour, so his words didn’t scare me. I forced a smile, despite the pain I felt. “I just want to know your names and why you saved me. I’m grateful you took me from there.” From the side mirror, I noticed his face straightened. “They had been maltreating you, hadn’t they?” I lowered my head and nodded. He must’ve had enough time to see all the marks on my body, so there was no need to hide what I had been through. Still, they weren’t as wicked as being married off to an old man who’d treat me, not even as a trophy prize, but as a tool. “You knew my dad, right?” “No.” I raised my head. He didn’t? Then, was he only from the will department? Maybe he was coming to drop the will when he crashed into me. “Then who are you?” “Contract 21. Did you see the letter?” I looked around me and realized that I hadn’t brought it along. That sounded sketchy. “What does it have to do with me?” “Do you want your properties back? I knew how you’d get your will, but of course, I wouldn’t do all this for free for you. My grandfather had saved to protect you, but he didn’t say I couldn’t get a reward for that.” What was this handsome devil saying? I looked out the window and the places we were passing looked dead, despite the modern look it had. There was no one on the street, and no single imperfection was in sight. Then the huge billboard told me everything I needed to know about my situation. ‘Justiff Era!’ A mafia conglomerate, governed by one of the most devilish sons of Evil itself. My father once had a cross with him, and while I didn’t know the details, I knew it didn’t end well. Could this handsome devil be one of their bosses? My palms became sweaty, and I didn’t think this was a saviour I had found. What had my father done, and why had they released him? Was I a continuation of whatever contract my father had signed with them? These questions could be easily answered with the cruellest things I could come up with. Being saved by Mafia Men wasn’t a dream come true. The car stopped at a small tunnel, and the men beside me got down. My head snapped in all directions, and soon enough, I was left alone in the car. What I thought was a tunnel suddenly began descending under the ground. I turned to the back, and the Greek God was just looking at his car, especially the corners, as it lowered. I relaxed a bit. There was no way they were throwing me somewhere dangerous when I was still in the car. The car descended, and a garage appeared when all the lights came up. Some machines began whirring and rushing to the car. They took out its tyres. Another machine began spraying paint on it, and before my eyes could follow each one to make sure they weren’t killing me, the black Rolls-Royce was a tint of red. A door opened, and the Greek God walked in with a change of clothes. Was what happening here? Did they change the paint every time they took their car out? Then a hissing sound from the car made me alert. Three small pipes came out from the sides of the car and attacked me from all sides. I screamed but slowly calmed down when I realized they were just compressed air and water. Sanitizer. I covered my face until it was all over. I heard the car door open. “Come out.” I obeyed, still covering my face because my eyes stung. He held my hand and strolled back through the door he had walked out from. “My name is Théoden.” I released one hand from my face and looked up at him. Nearby, I could reaffirm that he was really good-looking and had a dangerous beauty to him. It was also my first time seeing someone with two different eye colours. I’d only seen it in photos. “N-Nice to meet you, Théoden. I don’t know what’s going on, but I hope you’ll take care of me.” That was my only desire: peace of mind while I found out how to get my father’s will. He said nothing to that, and my shoulders slumped. We kept on walking through the maze of garage walls, and while I couldn’t see the cars within the compartments, I could guess that two-thirds of all the compartments had the cars of the bosses that ruled the Justiff Era. “Here.” I was handed a card when we stopped in front of an elevator. “Everything on the first and second floors belongs to you. Don’t go above those places.” I stared at the card, and it was a key to my room. We entered the elevator, and my eyes shifted to him. He rested on the elevator, and his clothes were designer pyjamas. I resisted the urge to smile. The elevator opened, and a large Victorian-era room popped up. I stood there, staring at it in awe. Théoden reached for the switch, and more soft lights illuminated the room. There was a life-sized touchscreen resting by the bed. I tiptoed to it and tilted my head. “Is it for monitoring me?” “You can use it to order food from the kitchen, and you have access to only the buildings you need,” he spoke. “And yes, the camera watches what you’re doing. Change in your closet at all times.” My hair stood up when I heard that. This wasn’t flattering. It was a literal chain. “You still haven’t answered me. Why are you doing all this? Who are you?”Chapter One: Donna’s POVThere’s a limit to what one could endure, and my limit had gotten really close. I looked at my stepmother and my step siblings discuss my marriage plans with their guest while I stood in front of them, yet my opinions weren’t sort for.Maybe it’s because I was an orphan after my father’s death and my mother’s assassination, but I was still part of this family and more eligible than they were to answer Draven. The eldest, Chris, walked into the room and handed a file to his file to his mother. She grabbed it and searched through for eligible young wolves from wealthy homes. It was creepy how they had all the information. Also, I was an official rogue like my father, yet they were trying to force me into a pack by marriage. A low ranked wolf like me wouldn’t survive it.My expression was straight, and I stayed quiet while watching this. What was I to do anyway? I still held the broom and mop I had used to clean her room before I was called to the livin

She grabbed the file but it ripped. My mouth opened as she was stared at me like I did it. “I... I don’t want to get married to some old man. You’d never want this for your daughter so—”Chris left the couch and my remaining words buried itself in my throat. He slowly walked to me and I backed away, wondering what he wanted to do. I tried to plead with him. “Please, I am still your sister. You wouldn’t want Priscilla to marry such
