I remembered my parents used to fight because mum hid about Alonzo. And there, I wished she could have mentioned it earlier because Dad seemed okay with it.
I looked up at Alonzo and found he was also gazing at me as if waiting for me to agree on it. I would have loved that, but they all knew it was too late because I had found another life.
"Alessia has a private jet, we will be visiting on weekends and having dinner together, if that's okay?" He read my mind and I felt relieved. Why was he so understanding?
