I almost entered the passcode to open the door when Alice grabbed me and pulled me behind.
"What are you doing?" She whispered. I had no idea why we were whispering because I also whispered back.

Her mouth fell open. Not the first time but ever since we drove to the hotel, she looked like she had seen a ghost. Judith was entirely quiet and I knew I was an asshole. I could have not lied to them.
