Invasion Of The Rogue

The moon  shone in a great intensity and it cast its light over the Alpha’s room.

Charlotte, the Luna of Moon Ruby Pack, lay under Nicholas, her Alpha, they were sweating aggressively. 

The two people were making intense love. Nicholas whispered sexy words into Charlotte’s ears and she kissed him deeply. 

Charlotte then wrapped her legs around Nicholas and Nicholas suckled on one of her nipples. She groaned. She felt like she was in heaven. She was almost there.

Charlotte felt her heart race, waiting for her body to push out the proof of being in her peak while her lover continued to ram slowly and delicately, inside of her. 

But suddenly, a strange scent wafted through the air. It was a scent that didn’t belong to him.

“Wait,” she said, her voice trembling slightly as she pushed him away. “Stop.”

Nicholas looked at her, confusion was written on his handsome face. “What’s wrong?” 

Charlotte sat up, pulling the sheets around her. “I smell another woman,” she said, her voice steady but laced with hurt.

She and Nicholas had been having this same problem these few days.She had been seeing traces of Nicholas cheating. 

Sometimes, she caught him red handed, and he promised to change. Since he promised to change, he had been very discreet with his cheating. Charlotte would have loved to cheat too, but she did not find anybody she was interested in.

Besides, if she did, Nicholas would allow the seven kingdoms to hear about it, while dragging her back to her parents or even worse—he may bring a woman home and make her his official concubine.

Nicholas shook his head, his brow furrowing. “You must be imagining things. There’s no one else.”

“Don’t lie to me!” Charlotte’s voice rose slightly as panic crept into her chest. “I can smell her! Who is she?”

The woman smelled like chamomile and chocolates. Normally, as a wolf, it would not be hard to catch Nicholas. If he made love to someone else, the scent would be on him for 24 hours.

Why did she not smell her earlier? Nicholas was fond of masking his scent with a scent masker before making love to her.

“I told you, there’s no one!” Nicholas snapped back, frustration flashing in his eyes. 

He was clearly lying. He had to keep a straight face. Everyone knows cheaters don’t flinch when they are caught!

Charlotte felt a wave of anger wash over her. “You expect me to believe that? After everything?”

He fell silent, his gaze dropping to the floor. The tension in the room thickened as Charlotte’s heart sank. She could feel the walls closing in around her.

“I need to shower,” she finally said, rising from the bed and wrapping herself in a robe. “I can’t do this right now.”

Nicholas tried to hold her but she struggled with him. She did not even want to look at his face. How could he betray her?

‘Maybe I’ll get her favorite designer brands and use it to apologize,’ he thought to himself. 

He  watched her retreat into the bathroom, his heart was heavy with unspoken words. Will he stop? Never! 

The sound of water splashing against porcelain filled the silence as Charlotte tried to wash away not just the scent but also the tears that were already shamelessly falling.

Why did she have to stop every love making session with her husband midway? They had not had proper intimacy for over four months now, and Charlotte was starved.

Later that evening, Charlotte joined Nicholas and their guests, the neighboring Alpha and his Luna from Moon Sturdy pack for dinner in the grand dining hall.

The room was filled with laughter and chatter as they discussed light pack matters and shared stories from their lives.

After some time, the meeting grew serious. Alpha Liam broke the silence.

“Friend, there is a serious matter at hand. The rogues are becoming increasingly troublesome. Yesterday, they entered one of the houses in my pack and almost kidnapped the sons of the man.”

“The father raised an alarm and in no time, we were there to save his children. We managed to capture only one rogue. The others fled,” Alpha Liam reported.

“And they now harbor deadly diseases. They attacked a pack and many wolves began to die. We have to be vigilant,” Luna Chloe added. 

“Interesting..Did you in any way ask the rogue you caught a question? Did you drill him? What did he say?” Nicholas asked. 

When Alpha Liam’s Luna, Chloe, noticed that Charlotte was silent, she decided to ask her questions. Normally Luna Chloe was a very terrible gossip.

 Alpha Nicholas had to put up a show or else, Chloe would tell the whole world that Nicholas had been beating his wife. 

“What’s wrong, Luna Charlotte. You seem so sick and quiet. Is that a mark on your face? A slap, perhaps,” she was so messy.

“It is nothing, Chloe. The Luna is just moody. Who knows. She may even be carrying a pup,” Alpha Nicholas lied.

Then he leaned towards Charlotte and they kissed deeply in front of the guests.

Charlotte smiled and laughed on cue, but inside, she felt distant from it all. 

She glanced at her husband, the man she once loved. He was beginning to look ugly in her eyes. He was charismatic, handsome and strong, but something inside her had begun to fade.

“I am fine, Chloe. Thank you for checking up on me. I have not been too strong these days,” Charlotte answered. 

Chloe rolled her eyes. She knew something was happening. Alpha Nicholas shot Chloe a deathly glare. 

“Forgive my wife. She did not mean it in a wrong way. I think it is in her nature to care for her friends.”

“So back to the rogues, the one we questioned refused to say anything. So we just killed him,” Alpha Liam revealed.

“You should not have killed him. You would have brought him to me. He would have spoken by force,” Nicholas commented.

Liam chuckled. “Next time, dear friend. We will make sure to bundle them to your pack. Watch out, the population of the rogues are increasing. They may now disguise themselves as people in your pack. Be careful.”

Alpha Nicholas nodded. Luna Charlotte kept eating her food. Her husband smiled at her and she gave him back a fake smile. 

As the meeting came to an end, Nicholas bade his friends farewell.

Nicholas then turned to Charlotte with a hopeful expression. “Can we talk for a moment?” he asked softly.

“Sure,” she replied, forcing a smile.

Once they were alone, Nicholas stepped closer and took her hands in his. “I’m sorry for earlier,” he said earnestly. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”

Charlotte looked down at their joined hands, feeling a mix of affection and resentment. “It’s fine,” she said quietly.

“Please forgive me,” he pleaded, his eyes searching hers for understanding.

But Charlotte couldn’t meet his gaze. She felt trapped between love and disappointment. “I need time,” she finally said, pulling away from him.

Nicholas’s face fell as she turned away from him again. She could hear him sigh heavily behind her but chose not to look back.

The atmosphere shifted when a guard burst into the hall, breathless and wide-eyed. “Alpha Nicholas! Luna Charlotte! There’s a rogue outside the palace walls!”

“What do you mean?” Nicholas asked sharply.

“She’s stained with blood and battered! We’ve chained her!” The guard reported urgently.

Charlotte felt a chill run down her spine as they rushed outside together. The night air was cool against her skin as they approached the gates where a young wolf lay trembling on the ground, her fur matted with dirt and blood.

She was weak from all the running because the guards had been chasing her.  Once she saw Luna Charlotte and Alpha Nicholas, she shifted to her human form.

She was a very pretty lady! 

As they walked closer, the girl looked up with her eyes filled with fear and desperation. Without thinking, she crawled toward Charlotte and pressed her forehead against Charlotte's feet.

“Please… help me!” she begged, tears streaming down her cheeks. “I didn’t do anything wrong!”

Nicholas stepped forward menacingly, his voice cold as ice. “She’s a rogue! We can’t trust her! Guards! Prepare to shoot!”

“No!” Charlotte shouted, stepping in front of the girl. “Please don’t! She looks hurt… She needs help!”

“Step aside! Sweetheart!” Nicholas warned. “Did you not hear what Alpha Liam and his Luna said? She may be a spy or she may harbour deadly diseases!”

The girl had now proceeded to hide behind Luna Charlotte’s back. She was naked. In front of all these men. 

Charlotte stepped closer to Nicholas and whispered in his ear. “If you want me to truly forgive you, then let the wolf live.”

Nicholas was appalled. Was his Luna crazy? What is she thinking, defending a rogue? Does she know who this lady is?
