Zoey's POV

After the hot sex with Charlotte, she slept off and I could not help but stare at her.

Throughout when I was kissing her and caressing my boobs, my fangs were itching to be out in full display.

This was so weird because I had never felt this way with any of my girlfriends.

I wanted to mark her! Yes! I wanted to mark Charlotte.

I put my ear close to her nose to hear her breathe. She snored like she was whispering and it was actually so cute.

I thought she would kiss me and thank me for the good sex I just gave her but she just popped up from bed like she was in a hurry to leave. 

She asked me for the time and I told her the time and she hissed in anger. She buried her hands in her face.

Was she afraid of Nicholas?

But this was her pack, she could move as free as she wanted to.

Why was she so anxious?

“Sweethear–” I wanted to call out to her. That was the new name I had decided that I would give her once our romance started waxing stronger. 

But it seemed she did not even want to see my face.

She acted as though she was disgusted that I was even alive.

I stood up and followed her. I tried to ask her if she was okay but she shot back at me in anger. 

She actually yelled at me! My wolf, Rizz, whimpered in pain. She really liked her.

She then walked away from me and began to wear her clothes.

I felt so ashamed of myself that I had to apologize to her. The room was tense and the whole situation was awkward.

I could sense something in her voice that made my heart beat fast–regret!

Yes! Luna Charlotte was already regretting why she had sex with a dimwit, a rogue and a runaway wolf!

I apologised to her. She did not even acknowledge my apology.

What exactly was I apologizing for? Giving her the best sex of her life? Or comforting her when she came crying to me?

Should have I turned her away? Gosh! I actually began to regret also having sex with her. Maybe I should've pretended, comforted her and turned her back to her husband.

I knew inside my heart that now that Luna Charlotte had tasted me, sex with her husband or any other man on earth was going to be very bland and boring.

She dressed up after she had gotten tired of standing by the window and she began to walk out of the room.

Her face looked very unfriendly and she forgot her face towel. I tried to call her back to ask her if she would come back to see me again and she walked out of the door.

I felt broken at that moment. Did I really not mean anything to Charlotte? Why would she just walk out of the room without saying a word. 

“Give the girl some time. She will come running back to you,” my wolf, Rizz, spoke inside of me.

Well, my wolf was right. I believed fate and destiny brought Charlotte and I together, if not, I would not have stumbled in her pack yesterday.

Destiny brought me to her and touched her to save my life yesterday evening. 

Rizz! You've finally awoken!

Wait…did Rizz come back to me because I had sex with Charlotte?

A seer did tell me that when I met my mate, my dormant wolf would sprout back to being alive and active.

Rizz had disappeared for more than six years. I had my wolf when I was fourteen years old and Rizz became dormant the next year.

I still turned into my wolf form but I could not run fast. 

Rizz would not speak to me either. If I found myself in negative and unfortunate situations, Rizz would only whimper and let out weak howls.

This time around she spoke to me! Wow she actually said some words to my hearing.

“Welcome back, Rizz,” I replied to her and she let out a soft howl.

“Yeah..the girl’s so hot. I can see why you can not have enough of her,” Rizz joked.

I went back to lay on the bed. It was now time to discuss with my wolf. I had so much to ask her and so much to tell her too! 

Even though I was mad at Charlotte, I believed I could talk to her and we could settle.
