Chapter 3

Sam's POV 

4 years later 

"Alisha, what is on schedule for today?" I ask my secretary.

"You have a meeting with the board of directors at 10:00 in the morning, then a conference meeting with the head of the branches abroad at 1:00, then finally a lunch meeting to make a deal with Mr. Coal for the discussion of your contract and the signing." 

"Well, a normal day, could you contact Liam, and tell I am free now if he wants to see me."

"Right away ma'am."

After 4 years of living on my own I am quite successful. My company skyrocketed and is now among the top 5 companies in the world.

After living in Norwood for a year, I started looking for the other surviving Phoenix. It was hard but I found them. They were barely alive so I took them in and treated them, after 6 months they asked me to be their clan leader, because like a pack Phoenix are strong together even if they don't go berserk after leaving the clan they still need one.

After making sure they really wanted it I got an even bigger house for them built, which is where I stay when I have. Though we are Phoenix we still deal with packs, since there is only one Phoenix clan, I am part of the supernatural council.

In the council we have a head for each species, usually, once a year, each member of the council gathers with the supernatural they belong to discuss affairs, and since we Phoenix are small in number, we don't usually need to attend. Which is why no royal knows what I look.

Alisha is also a Phoenix, which helps with talking about affairs that don't deal with the company.

There is a knock at my door. "Come in."

Alisha comes in, "Ms. Smith, the council has requested for an emergency meeting regarding matters which could threaten supernatural life."

"What are these matters?" I ask suddenly becoming anxious.

"They wouldn't say but you had to get there as quickly as possible. And Mr. Coal called wishing to reschedule your meeting." 

"Tell it is no problem, postpone all my appointments and tell the council that we are on our way."

"Yes Ms. Smith." After that she walks out, I go to the room I had in my office. I wore my gear. When we shift are clothes are shredded, so I found a witch coven and paid them to enchant our clothes. Which helped with the market among the shifter. The spell used takes a lot of energy and there are few covers with many who possess great power.

After wearing my clothes, I went down to my private parking lot. There were many cars but I decided to go on my Ducati Panigale motorcycle. My baby, no one's allowed to touch it without my permission. 

After strapping on my helmet, I see Alisha coming with her helmet on her head and getting on her own motorcycle.

After she is ready, we set off.

Every piece of land belongs to a pack, tribe, coven, etc. So, with council we worked together and got a land which in a way was neutral but no one was allowed to pass without permission from at least one of the council members.

As Alisha and I pulled up to building, we saw other council members with their aids.

We saw Amanda for the mermaids, Antonio for the vampires, Leonardo for the shifters in general, Nicholas for the dragons, Silvia for witches and warlock. The members that were there are the inner members. Though Leonardo is for the shifters, dragons and Phoenix are on a whole new level. We possess powers that other shifters do not have.

As we waited for Amelia from the angels I talked with Nicholas and Leonardo about business for the shifter clothes.

Amelia as always came in gracefully.

Well seems like it's time for business. We all seated in our respectful seats.

"So may I ask why life among the supernatural might be threatened?" Nicholas asked getting down to business.

"Well, the other day I received a message, a vision to be exact. I saw the demons, sirens, and the dark fae plotting to disrupt we have here. Even though the fae are not a part of peace treaty they still deserve some help from our side." Silvia 

"Okay, well now that we got a concrete idea of what's going on we need to prepare for war. I would like to ask which race will specialize in what category?" I ask now growing impatient.

"Well with how things are turning out, it is best to get help from one another. I would like for the dragons to help with the training. 

The mermaids with recovery for any injury, the vampires for survival, we don't know how long it will last and we don't know when groups might be separated.

I want the witches out on support. The shifters are so large in number that I would like for you to continue on but ten times harder. Now since the Phoenix are so well rounded, I would like for you to supervise, and help those who have been blessed."

"Well in the end it works for me. So do we choose who goes where?" I ask.

"Yes, you may." Well, if that is all I would like to leave to announce to my clan about the necessary requirements, I hope to see you soon." I say as I get up to leave, "I will inform you when my warriors will be setting off."

I walk out of the meeting and make my way to the garage.

"Alisha we are leaving."

I got on my bike and set off for clan.

As we arrived, I saw warriors patrolling the border.

I got off my bike and went to my office. I already knew who to send and where, and the council had already given me the names of those who were blessed and where and what species they were from. I called my 2nd Josh and 3rd in command, Mateo to my office. 

"Okay guys we have a war coming up ahead. I am giving you a list of people who I want to go and assist and where they will be going explain the situation and tell them to be ready within a week. I will leave you both in charge while I myself deal with the werewolves." I to them explaining the situation.

When dinner rolls around, I wait for everyone to finish eating. 

"To everyone who is here, I would like to say that there is a war breaking out with the demons, sirens, and dark fae. I have discussed with the council, and since we are well rounded, we will supervise and help with those who are blessed. I have already selected those who should go and the ones who aren't going are to work ten times harder in order to be ready for this war.

I myself will not be here so the clan will be under Josh and Mateo during my absence. Only to people will come with me. Alisha and Liam. That is all please continue."

I decided to start with the werewolves. I already have people stationed there so I will work with the top two packs which turned out to be the Blue Rose Pack and the Royal Moon Pack.

I decided to start with Blue Rose, I called.

"Hello this is the Beta of the Blue Rose Pack, to whom am I speaking with?"

"Hello, by now you should have known about the war coming up, and what role each species is meant to do. I am the clan leader of the Rainbow Phoenix Clan and I would like to inform you I will be there in a week, so until we meet again. Oh, and I will send you a QR code that is to be scanned when I come in."

After that I went to my room on the top floor, too lazy to go to my own house and fell asleep.

Alpha Aiden's POV

It has been 4 years since Samantha left, the pack has been in shambles. 

In terms of fighting, we were still 2nd, but internally it is a mess. Usually it was Sam who cooked, the other omegas didn't know how to cook, anything they knew were the basic frying eggs etc. Since no one could cook we had to decrease the budget for our warriors and hire a cook.

No one was able to be at peace, because whenever someone had a problem, they would confide to Sam and so now the pack is having trust issues among one another.

I miss my sister, and wish I wasn't so bad to her, but now she is gone and I am not sure if she is alive or dead, because I hope she isn't.

My best friend Matthew has it worse. It turns out he was Samantha's mate but being stupid like the rest of us, he rejected her, which was the last straw which finally led to her running away. 

I just hope where ever she is, she is okay.

As I was doing paperwork I heard a knock on my door, I smelt that it was Beta, Matthew aka the guy who rejected Sam. "Come in."

When Matt entered, he looked as bad as he was when Sam left.

"Alpha, you have heard about the potential war. The council has decided to put different people in charge of helping the whole supernatural race in preparing for it. The leader of the Rainbow Phoenix Clan, called and informed me that they will be here next week. They even sent a QR code that is to be scanned to be sure that no one will try to impersonate them."

"Do you know the name of their leader, or even when was there something like a Clan?" I asked since I have never heard of the Rainbow Phoenix, or even what is a Clan.

"I do not know the name of their leader, and didn't think too much since it would be impossible for someone to act like them with the QR code. It turns one of the council members is a Phoenix." As Matthew finished talking, I was deep in thought. Something about the clan kept nagging me but I decided to put it aside.

"Inform the pack about the arrival and tell them to clean the pack house top to bottom, we don't want to get on the council's bad side."

"Yes Alpha." And with that Matt left my office and I continued on with my work.
