Chapter 5

Sam's POV

After my shower, I decided to work a while. After I finished working, I went downstairs to eat dinner. As I was going down, I could hear laughter as people among the pack members were talking and laughing. when I got to the bottom of the stairs, everybody went silent. "Oh, don't let me impose on your evening, continue."

When I got to my table, I was greeted by my clan. As we sat down, they started giving me the information I asked them to collect. "I went to the office and though they all seem to be working, the manager seem to be embezzling funds so, should I handle this on my own or would you like to do it Clan Leader?"

I thought about it for a while and decided to let Alisha take care of this matter. "We observed their training, and although they seem to have decent attack skills, their defense is lacking. We might be able to finish this in a few weeks as long as their are not difficult."

We finished eating and I made an announcement to be on the training field by 4:30 AM and I went to sleep on it.

I was on my way to my room when I was stopped by my brother, "Sam, please talk to me, anything." Watching him plead didn't make me feel guilty or satisfaction, I felt indifferent. "If you wish to talk to talk to me about training, send someone to call me if for anything else make an appointment with my assistant. Is there anything else?" He seemed like he wanted to say something but then shook his head. "I will be on my way. Good night, Alpha Aiden."

After that encounter, I got ready for bed and read a book about supernaturals.

I woke up the next morning at 3:17 AM feeling pain in my lower abdomen, Matthew must be at again, and he was said he wante me back, the guy cannot stay still. I decided to get up and do a little extra training.

After working out, I read a book while waiting for my clan to come downstairs. The first to arrive was Conner, our strategist, followed by Alisha and William. It was 4:20 am, 10 minutes before scheduled time.

"Good morning Clan Leader, I hope you had a good night of sleep." Conner nodded at me 

"I did, thank you for asking Conner."

We went ouside. I saw the field and used my green flame and rearranged the terrain to make it an obstacle. When I was done the others took out the materials and other gear.

By the time we were done it was 4:30 and unsurprisingly no one was here. I took out my phone and played a pre-recorded audio through the pack speakers.

"You have 10 minutes to get ready and outside for training or be ready to face the wrath of a member of the council."

Within 15 minutes, evreyone was here. "You are all here to train, I don't want to hear whining complaining and etcetera. I am here to train you, not baby you. Get you ready for a war, not a friendly competition. I will not tolerate anyone trying to undermine me, no matter how long you have this or talented or gifted you I will not tolerate disobedience from anyone. Am I undestood?"

Murmurs broke out among the crowd as I finished talking. "Why should we listen to you? You are just the weak little girl that ran away." the one who said that was Anastasia, biggest bully in high school. William looked ready to pounce on her, but I mindlinked him to stay calm.

"What if we made a deal, You and I will spar, you can hit me as many times as you want you can even shift, I'll make it easier for you by giving myself a handicap, I won't shift, nor will I use my hands. If you lad one hit on me, someone ele will take over, but if I knock you off your feet, you listen to me for the duration of my stay here and will have no right to question me, do we have a deal?"

"Oh don't worry about me, we have deal." the pack formed a circle around Anastasia and I. 

I put my arms behind my back as I stood there and waited for her to make her first move, when she realized this, she threw a punch, when I dodged it she started to throw more and more punches at me. As I continued to dodge, she grew more frustrated nad then decided to shift. When she shifted I decided to end this. I swiped my leg under hers where she lost balence. I put foot on her neck forcing her to submit.

"Is there anyone else who wishes to question me?" There was radio silence.

"If not, then let training begin."
