Giovanni (Gio) POV

I was in my office, running over yesterdays events through my head, thinking about the rogue that was able to outrun my wolves. I also chased after her, but she hid and was able to make herself untraceable. I was frustrated, and I didn't even know why. My wolf was pacing in my head like crazy, causing me headaches and not lessening my thoughts about her.

Sam's POV

I woke up with the worst headache. I looked around. Where am I? Then I remembered that I had run away and was at a hotel.

Now that I was more aware of my surroundings, I took a quick shower and started to think about what to do with my life. I had millions of dollars in my bank account. My parents left it for me as my inheritance, in case something went wrong with my life.

Since I was a kid genius. I went to college at the age of 12 and graduated at 16 with a degree in marketing and international trade plus administration and financial management.

I decided to start my company, but to keep me anonymous, I decided to buy also a little restaurant because I loved to cook.

I got ready and went down to the lobby to pay for my room.

I first got myself a new phone and laptop, so the pack couldn't track me to this human town. The town all the way across the country, don't ask me how I was able to run this far. I am just as surprised, I blame it on the adrenaline.

After getting a new laptop and phone, I looked up decent houses near me, and it turns out there is one. A 2-story house with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a huge kitchen, a nice living room, a basement, and a pool. They were having an open house today, so I decided to check it out.

I got a car and drove for about 30 minutes, then I reached the house, and it was beautiful. I fell in love with it. I knew I had to get it. When all the visitors were gone, I went to the owners.

"Hello, I'm new in town here, I was looking for a house when I saw this one on the internet it was so beautiful that I had to check it out. I love it a lot so I was how much for the house?"

"Well, the house is for sale at $750,000. Would you like to buy it?" The owner questioned.

"Yes, I would love to buy it. When can I make the transaction?"

I discussed details, and we were able to seal the deal, and I could move in immediately. I was ecstatic.

Once they left, I moved all of my things in one of the rooms. They were all fully furnished. Today was a tiring day, so I just fell on the bed to sleep it off.

*******

I woke up and took a nice bubble bath with a few of the bath bombs and scented oils that I hid from the pack with whatever money I was to spare.

After my bath, I went to the fridge to get something to eat when I remembered that I had just moved in yesterday, meaning there was no food.

I sat on the couch to think about what had happened over the past few days, I was rejected, then ran away, and a few days later, I bought a house. Then I realized that I had never shifted into my wolf. Was I not a shifter, or was I runt.

"Took you long enough to realize that."

"Who's there?"

"Hey, relax. It's just me, your Phoenix."

Wait, I thought I was a werewolf?

"Well, technically, you are, but your Phoenix side is more dominant."

"Well then, where have you been all this time?"

"With you, you just never realized that I was there. By the way, my name is Adara."

"Well, Adara, I hope we will pull through together."

"Oh, I know we will. You are destined for great things."

"Well, you and I are one, so we are both destined for great things."

"I love you, Sam."

"And I love you, Adara."

"We can talk about your shift later; all I know is that I am hungry."

"OK, OK, I get us some food."

I laughed as I got my keys and put on some shoes, and walked out of the house.

I took a stroll around the neighborhood, then looked for a cafe where I could have breakfast. I saw a cozy little cafe, which seemed quite enough, so I pulled over. As I walked in, I realized that there were few people, and those who were there seemed to be regulars.

I walked up to the counter and ordered. As I was waiting for food, I listened to some music on my phone. When the server came and gave me my food, I tasted it and knew the food was one of the best foods I have ever eaten, I asked.

"Hey, why's the cafe so empty? Your food is so good that if I were a judge of a huge competition, I wouldn't even think of giving the other contestants a chance, I would've crowned you, no questions asked."

"Well, this isn't a popular neighborhood a cozy one, but that's it, and the owners are too poor to pay for advertisements, so not many people come." She answered.

"Are the owners here?" I asked. "Yeah, they are in the back, sorting some things out."

"Could you please inform them that I have an offer to propose to them which could save the cafe?"

She went as soon as I finished talking. The food is amazing, and I wanted to do something to help. The waitress came back with an elderly couple.

As they came forward, the man seemed skeptical but still came. The woman was the first one to talk, "Is it true that you can help us with the cafe?"

"Yes, you see, I graduated from college 2 years ago, and I got my inheritance from my deceased parents. Your cafe has food that I hate but could love after eating one bite here. You have potential, which is why I would like to buy it. Even if you don't agree, I will help financially and with whatever other problems there may be. I even want to work here part-time, and I also cook."

"Wow, well, I think that you should buy it, but on one condition, that you keep it alive and let me and my husband continue to work at least until we decide to retire."

"OK, so I will get my lawyer to draw up a contract, and I will come back in a month, but I will send $100,000 dollars today to financially support and help get better materials."

"Thank you, you're like an angel sent from God."

After talking with Mr. and Mrs. Brown, I started my company. I had already paid for the office the day before and did the interior design myself at Cozy Cafe during lunch. All I needed was to get employees and to make my business known.

After the long day, I went to the mall and went on a shopping spree buying all kinds of clothes, offices, casual, bathing suits, heels, sneakers, flats, and so much more. I bought so many things that I had to ship 3/4 of it to my house and would only arrive tomorrow.

After I bought tones of groceries, while stocking up on the ice cream and snacks, fruits and vegetables, but since I felt too lazy to cook, I went to a pizza shop and ate there.

Once I got home, I organized the fridge with fresh foods and a few drinks while I put dry foods like cereal, bread, flour, etc. in the pantry and cupboards, the spices on the shelves with my coffee machine, and a few other items on the island.

When I was done with that, I put my clothes in my walk-in closet. When everything was done, I took a shower and then just fell asleep on my bed.

Gio's POV All I could think of as I was going back to the palace was what a beautiful person she was when she helped me. My thoughts were filled with her and the beauty I saw. It reminded me of another girl I had seen 4 years ago, I hope she is well. As I was reading through pack documents, my Royal Beta and best friend Andrew walked in. "Hey, man. What was with your escapade?" He questioned as it turned to look at him, "I, for some reason, felt trapped, so I went for a run in the woods, of course, in a more subtle form." With that, I turned back to my work in hopes of getting something done. "Well, man, when you're ready, I'll be here. I got to go finish whatever work you're dumping on me. Bye." After that, my thoughts were filled with the mysterious girl. ************ Sam's POV When I woke up in the morning, I had a surprise waiting for me. Matthew had decided that winning me over was a top priority and made me breakfast and left it at my door with a note. "Hope you have a

Sam's POV As I watched them train, we each measured their level of combat, and how each warrior fought and what their strong points were. One thing I realized was that there were people who were less suited for battle and more suited for tracking or other positions within the pack. We trained until two in the afternoon. After the training session, I warned them that if anyone was late to training the next day, I would not be merciful. I discussed with my warriors, which warriors should be reassigned to better suiting positions. As we discussed, Matthew barged in like a ragging bull. "Sam, I know you're angry, but please, I'll show you that I am the best thing that'll happen to you, just come back to me." I sighed. This bafoon had no sense of self-awareness and too much self-assurance that I would come back. "Matthew, don't bother, I already told you I would not come back to you, and it stays the same, "I HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR REJECTION, so stop pestering me." I waved my hand at Wil

Sam's POV The pack was barely able to run 15 miles, half of them fainted by 16, and only 20 of them completed the 20 but blacked out right after. If I were to define the pack with one word, I'd say there isn't a word to describe how pathetic they are. When everyone remained there, they were conscious and rested, I told them to pick a sparring partner similar in size who wasn't someone they knew. "Right now, you are all weak. I won't share any details. I don't care if you're a Beta, Alpha, and so on. By Pack standards, you are strong, but we are going to war with the worst dark creatures with dark witches backing them up they are almost unstoppable, so you need to train harder. This training will be rigorous, I will not go easy on you just because you are a veteran or a newbie. S be ready for it." As I finished my speech, murmurs broke out among the crowd, and Anastasia, my number one bully, called out. "Why should we take orders from you? You were just a little runt." As Anastasi

Sam's POV After my shower, I decided to work for a while. After I finished working, I went downstairs to eat dinner. As I was going down, I could hear laughter as people among the pack members were talking and laughing. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, everybody went silent. "Oh, don't let me impose on your evening, continue." When I got to my table, I was greeted by my clan. As we sat down, they started giving me the information I asked them to collect. "I went to the office and though they all seem to be working, the manager seems to be embezzling funds so, should I handle this on my own or would you like to do it Clan Leader?" I thought about it for a while and decided to let Alisha take care of this matter. "We observed their training, and although they seem to have decent attack skills, their defense is lacking. We might be able to finish this in a few weeks as long as they are not difficult." We finished eating and I made an announcement to be on the training fie

Gio's. POV It has been 4 years ever since that rogue passed through our territory, and I still haven't been able to stop thinking of her. "Alpha? Are you okay? You spaced for a while. Would you like for me to read the report about the meeting with the council now or would you have it read later?" My Beta Andrew asked. "Continue." I sat there listening to the rest of the war about the impending war Beta Matthew's POV After talking with Aiden, I announced to the pack about the impending war and that there were people who would help us out. After I told them to clean the house, I left the hall and went to the only place that might take my mind off the situation, Samantha's room. I went there and sat on the bed reminiscing on every moment I was with her. I liked her a lot when she was born but after what happened to the former Alpha and Luna, everything changed. I bullied her even when at the back of my mind I knew it was wrong. Rejecting her had to be one of the worst mistakes I

"You have a meeting with the board of directors at 10:00 in the morning, then a conference meeting with the head of the branches abroad at 1:00, then finally a lunch meeting to make a deal with Mr. Coal for the discussion of your contract and the signing." "Well, a normal day, could you contact Liam, and tell I am free now if he wants to see me." "Right away ma'am." After 4 years of living on my own I am quite successful. My company skyrocketed and is now among the top 5 companies in the world. After living in Norwood for a year, I started looking for the other surviving Phoenix. It was hard but I found them. They were barely alive so I took them in and treated them, after 6 months they asked me to be their clan leader, because like a pack Phoenix are strong together even if they don't go berserk after leaving the clan they still need one. After making sure they really wanted it I got a
