Aurora's POV

Having no way else to go I strolled around aimlessly, until I ended up in front of a bar.

Most of my savings have been under the joint account I shared with Zayne, but all of that was now under his sole ownership and I couldn't withdraw from it anymore.

“What the heck?” I said out loud stepping into the bar, “it's not like I got anything else to lose,”

Five minutes later, I had already down two bottles of alcohol and was ordering more. Normally I was more frugal with my money, but just for tonight I decided not to care.

Tomorrow I will go back to be an underpaid lower class member of society.

But tonight…tonight I was going to have fun.

Brimming with liquid courage, I became rather full of myself, flirting with strangers and even accepting dances.

There was one guy that came twice, I guess the bad lighting in the bar was making me look less unattractive.

“May I have this dance?” He was drunk too, yet like myself he kept his wits about him. As I held out my hand for him to take it I gave him a once over, initially I thought he was good looking, but now that I had given him a more appreciative look I realized that he was actually strikingly handsome.

Or maybe it was just the bad lighting.

He was about to ask me to dance for the third time and I couldn't help rolling my eyes in amusement.

“Are you practicing for a dance competition or what?” I said in a joking manner, tapping the barstool next to me.

“Let's talk for a bit,”

“I guess you saw right through me, huh?” He said sitting next to me.

“As if you were actually trying to hide it,” I replied.

We kept talking back and forward like this until the air changed and the tension between us could be cut with a butter knife.

Finally, I leaned forward slowly bringing my lips to his, he gasped his lips meeting mine first.

“I've got a hotel room uptown,” he whispered below his breath.

“Ok,” I was also whispering. “Then what are we still doing here?”

I wasn't expecting much following him as we took a cab, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the place he had casually called some hotel uptown was actually a luxury five star hotel that someone of my status could only enter in their imagination or as a staff.

Another pleasant surprise was finally seeing his face with proper lighting and realizing that those bar lights did him no justice at all.

In a brief moment of panicky self-doubt, I expected him to do a second take and point how unappealing I looked.

He didn't, his mouth was just filled with nothing but compliments as we rode up the elevator.

I tried not to get ahead of myself, he might not mean half of these compliments, he was just trying to ease me into his bed and nothing else.

We came up to his room, one of the top suites in the hotel. My jaw fell, so he was rich rich.

I made no comment and we stepped in together.

“Is there a particular kind of wine you're partial to?”

He asked, we had both mostly sobered up on our way here, with my mind clearer I was a bit anxious but undeniably excited.

“I'd prefer a non-alcoholic one,” I said and he went to fetch it, returning back with a bottle I knew I couldn't afford if I gathered my entire years salary.

“The night is still young, let's enjoy it,” he said pouring mine into a wine glass.

On our second shared glass he initiated our second kiss of the night, he was the only man I'd ever kissed apart from Zayne, but unlike Zayne who came heatedly and snored off to sleep the moment he satisfied himself this man I'd only just met was gentle, taking his time to build up the tension between us.

His touch featherlight and intentional trailed down my thighs and I instinctively open up to his fingers and he explored my folds until I wrapped my hands around his neck as my full body shook in raw pleasure.

He finally broke the kiss backing away, his eyes raking across my entire body my eyes were fixed on the huge tent in his trouser.

Zayne's length couldn't compare,my excitement moistened up my folds again as I unconsciously licked my lips.

He knelt in front on me spreading my legs, shivers caused me to tremble as his tongue slid expertly until it struck my clit and I reach my peak again.

A chuckle passed his devious mouth of his as he got up, picking me up bridal style.

“Why don't we take this to the bedroom?” He said in a sultry voice

We had a passionate night, but when morning came. I was left with nothing but a horrible hangover and regrets.

I quickly picked up all of my clothes, put them on and dashed out of the hotel room before he could wake up.

I promised myself never to do anything like that again–what if he was a rapist, serial killer or something of the likes? Poor grandmother still needed me.

So I continued with my daily grind, sure I was now homeless with all my life savings blasted into the void. But the really good thing about being on rock bottom was because things couldn't get any worse.

However, I didn't expect that they would get better-and so quickly too. Three days later, I received an email on my phone.

It was from a top notch international company that I had applied to on a whim. I didn't think that somebody with my lack of professional experience would be considered for the role yet I received an unexpected message telling me that I had received the job; working as a personal secretary to the CEO of the company.

I was over the moon, that was until I met the CEO the next day and my jaw fell to the floor.

“Hello, I believe you are my new secretary,”
