Xavier’s cold eyes were fixed on my father. I felt like I betrayed him and right in the moment, I wanted the earth to swallow me alive. I couldn’t see him in the pain of being kept in the dark.

“It’s better you hear this out, young man. Come and sit here.” Dad sounded extremely calm whereas I was fretting.

“Xavier, please come with me, I’ll explain you everything.” I tried to reach for his hand but he made his way towards my father without sparing a glance at my direction. It hurt me.

“Mr. Greyson I heard you talking to your daughter about your revenge plans if I put it in my words. What has my family done to you? As far as I remember my Dad considers you as a very good friend.” Xavier said very calmly but I could feel anger bubbling beneath the layer of the calmness.
