Why my fate is always cruel to me. When I begin to think that finally I've something to call mine and I should chase after it, my bubbles burst and I left staring at the mocking face of my fate.

Adeline, the woman who stirred my almost dead feelings after Emily's death, made it very clear that she wants nothing from me.

I stepped down from the car and the cold morning air hit my face.
