"I am sorry. I should have informed you." The man standing in front of me, apologized.

"Apology not accepted, now excuse me. I am getting late for my work." I said in a disinterested tone and about to walk past him but he grabbed my wrist.

"Adeline, please listen to me, at least." He said in a calm voice.

"I don't have time for this, Xavier. Your recklessness put me in a situation when I had to tell a bunch of lies to an old lady. You know I hate to deceive people." I said curtly.

He sighed and turned to look at me.

"Adeline, I can understand your anger and I'm extremely sorry for keeping you in the dark." He said, he sounded guilty.

"You should feel sorry but not for me." I snapped back, "We have to give her a great grandchild. Now you tell me how are we going to bring a baby because your grandmother wants to see your child." I said throwing my hands in the air.

"We'll tell her that we're not in a stage to have a child. She is a demanding woman who likes to see things acc
