Chapter 22: New advice

As they get up to the third floor, most of the staff working there are already in their open glass offices. Anita admires the beautiful setting of the offices in open view.

She follows the security guard until he stops in front of another glass office, where she sees some of the female staff staring at her, probably wondering if she's a client.

The security guard steps into the glass office first, and she assumes the young man standing is Joel Gregory, whom she was asked to see.

"Sir, she's here to see you," the security guard informs Joel, who's dusting his seat and wanting to settle down as he just arrived.

"Name?" Joel asks the security guard.

"Your name, ma'am?" the security guard throws the question to Anita, who was previously staring around.

"Anita Baker," Anita replies.

"Oh! And you're?" Joel asks, feeling a bit familiar with her name.

"May I come in?" Anita asks him.

"Of course, come in." Joel offers her a faint smile as he finally settles down in his seat and gestures to her,
