Chapter 21: Brother's advice

Temisa doesn't turn to face her brother either, as she has always known he will blame her first.

"Here's your food, and please eat it. We love you and want the best for you, okay? Goodnight," Martin says to her. He walks out of her room, closing the door, and Temisa walks over to open the food to check it.

Seeing it is another meal, not the one she half-chopped, she grits her teeth and decides to eat it first as she is very hungry.

She carries the food, walks back to her bed, sits on it, and starts eating.

Martin walks out of Temisa's room and meets Felicia, still standing behind the door.

"You're still here?" Martin asks her, and Felicia doesn't look up at his face as she responds, "I just want to be sure she's alright."

Martin takes a closer step towards Felicia while she shifts backward, wanting to keep a distance between them, and she collides with the wall behind her. This makes Martin smile, and he walks away, going back to his room.
