Chapter 27: Hectic day

Anita let out a sigh of relief as she watched her boss leave the third floor and step into the elevator that would take him down.

Her day had really been hectic, from the delay at the entrance to Joel informing her that they had actually employed all the reputable staff needed, and now she was to manage the position as the assistant secretary to the humiliating secretary she had to work with, who was visibly jealous of her—much like her own sisters.

Anita wondered if it had become a crime for a lady to be beautiful or fair like her.

She wasn't just fair like the regular fair-looking ladies; she was actually white and sparkling bright, almost like an albino, but she wasn’t one.

She shook her head sadly while eating her jollof rice. After finishing, she closed her flask and packed it into her handbag.

Since Margret didn’t want to show her what to do, Anita stood up and walked toward Joel’s office to see him.
