Chapter 28: Thinking about his decision

Mrs. Juliet Jackson is in front of their home in the garden, watering her plants and flowers when she hears the sound of a car parking in their garage.

She looks to see if her husband is the one returning. He had left after previously apologizing over the phone to his friend when they were seated together in their living room downstairs, telling his friend that he was truly sorry and would go to the company to see Liam right away about his actions.

Mrs. Juliet knows her son is still finding it difficult to settle back in his homeland, as he already has a well-established business in the States.

Liam stops walking toward their mansion and stares at the garden. He sees his mother watering the plants; she stops, hands over the watering can to one of their maids, and walks up to meet him.

"Good evening, Mom," Liam greets as his mother approaches and gives him a hug.

"Welcome, son. How was your day at the office?" Mrs. Juliet asks.

"It was fine, Mother. How was your day?"
