Book 3 Chapter 6

As Dean tried to push the door open, a sense of unease gripped him tightly. He couldn't shake off the feeling of dread, fearing what Jane might be going through behind that closed door.

"Jane, please open the door. I need to see you," he pleaded, his voice laced with desperation and concern.

But Jane remained steadfast, refusing to yield to his request. Her sobs echoed through the room, and Dean's heart clenched at the sound of her tears.

"Thank you, Dean. I... feel peaceful," Jane's soft words reached his ears, sending a chill down his spine.

"Jane? What are you doing?" Mae's voice trembled with worry as she tried to force the door open.

With trembling hands, Jane slowly stood up and finally opened the door, revealing her tear-stained face to Mae and Dean.

Mae gasped at the sight of Jane's pale complexion and swollen eyes, her concern evident in her expression.
