Book 3 Chapter 14

Dean stumbled into his condominium, the hallway lights that seemed to flicker overhead. Each step felt heavier than the last as he made his way to his unit. Fumbling with his keys, he finally managed to unlock the door and stumble inside.

The air inside was stuffy, and the silence was overwhelming. But he chose to rest in his condominium for peace. Dean collapsed onto the couch in his living room, the soft glow of the lamp casting shadows around him. He closed his eyes, trying to block out the memories that haunted him.

Dean slumped deeper into the couch, his mind swirling with images of Jane. He couldn't shake the memory of her face, her eyes devoid of the warmth he once knew. But what haunted him the most was the image of her swollen belly.

The thought of her carrying another man's child filled him with longing and resentment. He tried to push the image away, but it lingered like a ghost, haunting him in the darkness.
