Save My Grandma!

 Episode 19

Ryan was hanging out with Ethan at one of their hang out place. Ethan was scrolling through his phone and giggling at any girls picture he came across .

        

" Hey bro check this one out wow!" He showed Ryan who paid no attention to him but sipped his wine.

       

" Gosh these girls are hot, dude come on just see this gosh... she's hot " he giggled again

        

" Ethan am not interested okay and why are you always staring at girls pictures anyways.. don't you get tired " Ryan asked with a small frown

" It's not my fault okay, I just posted a picture of me on I*******m and boom! My dm is filled with girls gosh...they can't just get enough of me" he smiled proudly and Ryan shaked his head

        

" Yeah lucky you" he scoffed. 

Just then, Alex stormed in, looking frazzled and upset. "Ugh, I had the worst day ever! This rude delivery girl had the nerve to look down on me..."

 "Ugh...here comes the drama queen, just when I thought this day was going great." Ethan groaned and picked up his headphone.

        

 " dude, she's your sister"

        

 " exactly the problem" Ethan said and rolled his eyes, he put on the headphones which made Ryan chuckle.

Alex's voice rose as she recounted the encounter. 

     "That delivery girl had the nerve to look down on me! She thought she was so much better than me, with her condescending attitude and her 'I'm-better-than-you' smirk. I wanted to tell her who I am, to show her that I'm not some pushover. I'm Alex, the queen of this town! I've built empires and broken hearts. I don't get treated like some insignificant nobody!"

She took a deep breath, her anger still simmering. "And to top it off, she had the audacity to suggest that I'm 'just a pretty face'! Can you believe it? Me! I'll have her know that I'm more than just a pretty face. I'll make sure she pays for what did and her stupid eatery... I'll close it down!" She breathed heavily, her chest rising up and down in anger. She turned to look at Ethan and Ryan.

        

 " Seriously!...so I've been talking to myself all this while huh!" She removed Ethan's headphone and hit his head .

        

 " Ouch! Hey what's your problem!" He yelled rubbing his head.

        

 " You deserved it jerk" she scoffed and faced Ryan who seemed space out.

        

 "And what's wrong with you? Why are you spaced out?." She asked waving her hands .

        

" Huh?...um nothin... were you saying something?" He asked and she scoffed.

 " Seriously Ryan, I had a bad day am here talking about it but you didn't even listen, I can forget about Ethan cause he's a jerk but not you too"

      

" Hey, am your older brother..."

        

" So, what were you thinking about? are you really okay?" She cut him off. 

        . "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a lot on my mind."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "A lot on your mind? That's not like you. Spill it." She said and Ryan stood up.

        

" Sorry Alex but I gat to go now" he said picking his suit 

        

" Hey, but I just got here " she whined

 " Maybe next time, see you later Ethan "

        

 "Yeah see you later " Ethan waved and he left.

        

" Gosh he is so annoying!" Alex grumbled and gluped down a glass of wine, Ethan just chuckled.

 All through the ride home he didn't get himself. The secene from this morning kept replaying in his head.

        

" I don't know what they may have told you about us that made you want to give me a job, thank you but am not interested. Please stay away from my children and don't fill thier head with nonsense"

        

  He couldn't forget the look on her face when she said this, her face was straight but her eyes... he could see anger and hurt in them .

        

  *What's even wrong with me, if she doesn't want the job then that's her problem* 

        

 *Stop thinking about useless things Ryan, why are you even bothered* he scoffed remembering the way she Looked at him.

        

 *Hmmm, but what about the twins, I already promised them* 

        

   "They'll be sad now..." He said In a low voice

       

"Yes boss, are you talking to me?" His driver asked.

      "Huh?..no um..I wasn't" he replied.

Hospital 🏥🚑🚑.

 " Is she asleep?" Emily asked

        

" Hmm, after crying for so long she finally fell asleep" Landon replied and sat beside her on the bench.

        

" Thanks for staying with us, you must be so tired now why don't you go home and rest." She suggested and he shaked his head.

        

" No I won't , I rather stay here with you" he said and she smiled a little

        

" Tshh, not like your staying here would wake mum up" 

        

" Hmmm, you too your staying here won't make a difference "

        

   "She's my mom of course I got be here" she said

        

  " Hmm, and she's my godmother so I have to be here too " he said and she chuckled softly

        

  " Okay , you win stay if you want" she said and faced front.

        

  "What about the twins?"

        

 "Hmm, I asked a friend of mine to pick them up from school and stay with them at home" she answered

        

  " They must be so sad right now or, they don't know yet?" He asked

        

" They already know, earlier when Sarah called to ask for my mum, Zander overhead us talking so...we had no choice but to tell him, I said his grandma was just having a small fever and needs rest at the hospital" Emily said. 

        

" He's really a smart boy, knowing him am sure he doesn't believe it's a fever" Landon said and she nodded with a smiled

        

 " Hmm, I've already started looking for funds, but all I can get right now is...1 million dollars" he said and Emily looked at him.

        

" What! But that's too much, didn't you tell me you just finished paying off your debt to the bank last month...how did you manage to get that amount within a day?"she asked surprised

        

" don't worry about that, right now we should be thinking of where to get the remaining four million " he said and she sighed.

        

 " Am grateful for your help but, I don't want us to be a burden to you lan I mean... even though your restaurant is thriving it's still not strong enough and...are you sure you kept your employees salaries.. don't tell me that.." she was still talking when he held her hand cutting her off.

        

" Hey, don't worry too much, just let me help you this time. I remember six years ago...I couldn't do anything for you when godmother collapsed...you have no idea how I felt. I felt really useless that time...'

        

 " don't say that lan, You were never useless to us" she cut him off and he smiled

        

" Hmm, but this time let me help...I really want to make a difference this time" he said sincerely. Emily's eyes Welled up with tears

" Thank you lan, thank you so much" she sniffed and he hugged her while she cried. Lily looked at them for some seconds before turning away.

 Ryan's House

 As soon as he got home he took a quick shower.

        " Ah... that's refreshing" he muttered dressing up. Just then his phone rang.

        * This is my Personal business card number, could it be...* He thought and quickly picked it.

        

  " Hello , please who's this?" He asked, the person kept quiet for some seconds which pissed him off.

        

  " Am hanging up and don't you dare call this number again or else you'll see yourself in jail" he said and was about hanging the phone when he heard a familiar voice.

        

 📞 Hello, Mr Thompson... hello

        

  " Zander?... Zander is that you?" He asked surprised.

        

 📞Yes mr Thompson...am really sorry for bothering you this night.... He said his voice cracking.

        

  " It's alright Zander... what's wrong, are you okay." He asked already worried

        

 📞I...I memorized your phone number from the business card and now am using our house telephone to call you.

        

 " I see," Ryan nodded

        

   📞 Mr Ryan...can you please help my grandma...my mum said she's just having a fever and will be back soon but....( Crying)...I saw a paper in my grandma's room and it says...she has heart problem.... He said and Ryan's eyes widened

        

 📞 Please help my grandma Mr Thompson...I don't want her to die...I don't want her to leave us. We don't have a grandpa or a dad...I don't want us to lose my grandma as well...help us Mr Thompson...

        

     Ryan's heart broke hearing him cry, sundenly a sharp pain hit his chest and he held it.

        

 " Zander...can.. can you tell me the hospital's address, just tell me the address and I'll go there"
