CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

While watching the news display on the large screen. Different thoughts ran through my mind at the same time, and I could not bring myself to focus on a particular thought.

I soon heard the sound of someone sniffing and sobbing. I turned around and saw Sally seated on the floor sobbing like a three year old. I was shocked.

I stood up and turned off the screen first before rushing towards her.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I bent beside her and tried to console her, but she lifted her gaze to give me a bad look.

She stared at me for a while and shook her head. She wiped her nose and face and stood up quickly. I tried to touch Sally, but she would t let me.

"Stay away from me," she warned before rushing upstairs.

I covered my face with both palms in frustration. Sally was obviously mad at me, and it was hard to think that she believed that I took advantage of her.

I blamed myself a bit. If I had known, I wouldn't have continued after I found out she was a
