ALEX

I walked into the restaurant after James walked away. I was very angry at how he spoke. I decided to ignore him. He would find out soon who the real boss was.

I searched the restaurant with my eyes and saw Beverly seated on a particular spot. I folded my fist as I began to walk towards her.

"Mr handsome, you should smile more often," she teased me with a smile.

I grabbed a chair and sat there. I regretted that I agreed to come to this meeting. I didn't respond to her teasing. In fact, it made me angry.

"Can you remember this spot?" She asked me.

That was the greeting she was supposed to say.

"I am a very busy person," I snapped. "Daughters of mere maids who have nothing to inherit would not understand that."

She clicked her tongue against her upper gum and rolled her eyes. Beverly crossed her legs in front of me and stared at me with a smile.
