CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

SALLY

It's been a week already. Luckily, news about James and I had already begun to die down. I avoided Alex to the extreme. I didn't want to look him in the face because I knew he must have seen the news and, worse, of all the bad comments about him.

I was driving to my office when I noticed a commotion outside the company. I slowed down and quickly turned my wrist to check the time. It was just a few minutes after six o'clock in the morning.

"Didn't they bathe before leaving their houses?" I questioned myself.

My gate was open widely, and the crowd lined up from the compound and outside the gate.

I drove into the compound at a very slow pace and killed my car engine at the parking lot. I was about to alight when I noticed three men around my car.

My heart skipped immediately when I saw them. I still opened the door and walked out. I observed their looks.
