CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

ALEXANDER

After a very stressful day at work, I decided to go home. I was about to walk out of my office when I received a text from Beverly.

"You are starving us, Alex. My baby, and I. Until we are dead? Look, it seems like I would move into your house where I would get to eat every single day without waiting for you."

I sighed deeply. Beverly was so stupid and unreasonable. I gave her some money the previous day and here she was again. She always texted to ask for money and more money.

How does she eat like a horse?

I knew that I couldn't continue to spend on her the way I was doing. If I continued that way, I may end up broke.

I dialled her number, and when she picked the first question that she asked if I had sent the money.

I exhaled deeply.

"I would send you food instead," I told her. "Seems like I would keep people in charge of that food to monitor you and how you eat. "
