Chapter 19

Detective Stone looked at him for a long moment, then nodded. "I understand how you feel, Mr Reynolds," he said. "But you need to be patient. We'll find the person responsible, I promise you that."

With that, he turned and left the room, leaving Andrew alone once again. Andrew slumped back in his wheelchair, his frustration and anger boiling inside him.

Detective Stone stepped out of Andrew's room, the weight of the investigation heavy on his shoulders.

As he turned to make his way downstairs, he spotted Amelia standing outside the room. She looked worried, and Stone could sense her unease. He gave her a small nod and a polite goodbye before continuing down the hall.

Amelia took a deep breath before entering Andrew's room. She could hear him moving around in his wheelchair inside, and she knew that he was in a foul mood.

She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should even bother asking about the investigation. But she knew that she had to try.

"Andrew?" she called out, stepping
