Chapter Forty-Four - Getting married

It was a happy Saturday morning and the happiest day of my life! The sun rose early, lending credence to the expectation of a beautiful day. I stare through my window, to be greeted by the lovely view of the exterior. Everything gave me a reason to smile and be grateful.

I was getting married today, I couldn't help but beam with smiles, as I admired my reflection on the large mirror. I was putting on a sparkling white wedding gown, that fit perfectly, making me look like an angel. Luckily, my burgling tummy wasn't too obvious too. The tailor really did a great job. My makeup also was topnotch, thanks to the makeup artist.

We drove quickly to the court, hardly saying a word to each other. The silence wasn't helping, but we just had to keep it, as we were bereft of words to say to each other.

We got to the court, not too long after. Our witnesses were already there waiting, while the registrar was yet to come.

I stood there in the courtroom, with my would-be husband by my side, waitin
