Layla's POV

The following day, we returned to Las Vegas.

I resumed back to work, putting behind all of my troubles and worries.

I thought the stupid mistake I made would break I and Alex apart, but instead it brought us closer.

My chauffeur expertly drove the car to Starlight Entertainment, he packed the car carefully and opened the car door for me, with his head bowed in courtesy.

I stepped out majestically and I was met with a striking sight. Rows of workers, exquisitely dressed in tailored suits stood at attention on both sides of the walkway. Their eyes were fixed on me, their faces expressionless. They all bowed in unison as I walked past them.

Mr Grant, my manager, escorted me and they all walked behind me into the building.

It feels so good to be in charge! I exclaimed inwardly, feeling important and respected.

As I made my way into the conference room, the shareholders immediately stood up, their faces filled with anticipation. I took my place at the front, surveying the room
