Chapter 18

He is acting strange

Donovan pov.

A knock resonated through the door, causing my heart to race as I anxiously peered outside, hoping to see our child. It was nearly 9 PM, and there had been no updates from the police or any reliable source regarding our son's whereabouts.

"What is wrong with you, Sarah? Stop crying and answer the door," I growled, pacing back and forth in the living room, the weight of our son's disappearance pressing heavily upon me.

Before I could even take a deep breath, I heard the door swing open. She could hardly contain her anticipation for her son's return. I muttered to myself as I sluggishly approached the door to witness the moment for myself. My heart raced at the sight of my son standing on the doorstep.

"Bryan!" Sarah exclaimed, her voice echoing through the room as I opened the door, allowing her to enter with Bryan. It was surprising that we did not see who had brought him home.
