Chapter 41: Stunned

Silence filled the room as Hendrix laid on the couch with Margaux on top of him. No one spoke as if both of them were scared to say anything. But after long minutes of staying like that, Hendrix couldn't stay still any longer as Margaux's warm breath was fanning against his neck giving him goosebumps all over his body and sending chills down his spine.

“Margaux?” he muttered as he couldn't hold on anymore.

However, there was no response coming from her and just pure silence. Frowning, he tried to peek at her face, but he realized it was buried on the crook of his neck, making it impossible for him to see even just a glimpse of her beautiful face.
