A certain kind of solitude fell on Alpha Williams household it was of dread and tension  that even  the servants dare not cough anyhow or move about unnecessary to avoid the wrath  if Luna Williams who became a scorned soul after grey one marked Rose as his mate.

Luna Williams on several occasions has gone against her Alpha's advice of letting Amber choose her mate among other packs surrounding them when she just got into her prime but Luna Williams refused saying Amber was meant for the  best pack not knowing that Alpha Darius had included a clause in the marriage treaty signed by the Hilly pack and the Silverstone pack. 

“The marriage holds as they choose each other as mate ,Upon being attracted to each other by our first born”.

Marriage of the first born was what counted to Luna Williams  not the other parts of the agreement. 

Many Betas from other packs came to Hilly pack to court and possibly make Amber their mate but were met with outright rejection from Luna Williams  who told them Amber was not  interested  without even allowing her to show up.

Amber was not even allowed to go for mating season ever since luna Williams got to know about the marriage agreement between Alpha Williams and Alpha Darius without regard to the clause in the agreement. 

Beta Edwin has scorned luna Williams, her mate,Alpha Williams, their daughter, Amber,by choosing  Rose to be his mate. No one dares Luna Williams and goes Scot free ,Edwin will pay for it,luna Williams swore by selene. 

Luna Williams went into her golden daughter Amber's room to,  check on her and see how she is faring with the event that occurred earlier in the day.

One regret Luna Williams has is that if,she knew Beta Edwin would have taken notice of Rose, talk  more of choosing her as his mate, she would have had Rose locked up in the barn all through grey one's stay.

Upon knocking on Amber's door ,she was met with a slur from the other side of the door asking her to go away and that,tore at luna Williams inner wolf.

Her husband ,Alpha Williams might be the pack leader but she is the strong one. The other wolf's at Hilly packhave note dared to show their displeasure with Alpha Williams leadership openly because any wolf that dared ends up missing or torn to shreds.

Alpha Williams' ascension to Alpha came as a surprise to  Hilly pack,he  was not anywhere close to a gamma,but became an Alpha, all thanks to Luna Williams. 

Rumor has it that one day, the late Alpha Morrison,dearly beloved by  Hilly pack, had gone on a retreat with his wife, Luna Abigail  shortly  after their marriage. 

Late Alpha Morrison  took his beta Kylie, gamma mark ,his Delta chief Denison , omega  Edith,lowest delta Williams on the retreat since it was just for a few hours and they will go back to Hilly pack by sun down ,he didn't care for security much.

When the group got  to the retreat ground,they set up tents  to shield themselves from the sun and went about their business. 

Williams and Edith were in charge of what the group were to eat and drink.

Having always been scorned for being weak,timid and shy but no one took a moment to look beneath those things to see a dark sinister monster biding its time.

What better time to prove to all Hilly pack that she is not weak,timid or shy than now. She will make all Hilly pack bow down to her and pay respect to her name.

One day ,Edith went to the temple and swore an oath to put an end to her scorn,there she swore to do whatever it takes to make sure that no one that carries her blood will ever go through the same experience as her .

At the retreat ground ,Edith went about her business of setting up the table,setting out the wine and dishes to be served to the group. 

After some time, Alpha Morrison came to table with luna Abigail and his entourage while Edith and Williams waited on them.

 Alpha Morrison, Luna Abigail,Beta  Denison, gamma mark, chief Delta Kylie  after eating the meal served them for some time began to feel heavy headed and as if their inside were torn into shreds,they were paralyzed,speech and movement completely gone. Just a matter of time and it will all be over. 

Edith stood watch over them to make sure that it was properly done and nothing will be traced back to her.

Unknown to Williams ,Edith had laced the meal and wine with a poisonous substance called batrachotoxin which she used to prepare the fish served at the  retreat ground and consumed by the rest.

Since Williams witnessed it,she had him swear an oath of secrecy else she would implicate and tell Hilly pack safe.

To cover up their crime,Edith had Williams mark her as his mate and promised him he will be the next Alpha.

The whole Hilly pack mourned the death of Alpha Morrison and Luna Abigail,Williams became the Alpha because he is the hero that killed the poisonous and deadly  black mamba that ended the life of late Alpha Morrison as corroborated by Edith,the only two survivors. 

So did the rise to power of Edith and Williams began…

Grey one should not undermine Luna Williams, she gets what she wants,no one stands in her way,not even Edwin.

Filled with fury,Luna Williams set out to began her plan  starting with her silly so-called daughter Rose,she stormed towards  Rose room and yelled her name Rose.

Rose immediately jumped to her feet as she knew that voice,that tone and the meaning that it came with once yelled that way.

With apprehension,she rushed towards the direction of the call and was met with a slap by Luna Williams on both sides of her cheek which made her feel like she had a broken jaw.

“You silly wench ,dare to humiliate your sister and I, you are going to see,taste and live hell in this house”,luna Williams turned and left Rose clutching her almost broken jaw.

Rose retreated to her room,laid on the bed slept off clutching her cheek.

In her sleep she drifted off to  dreamland, Edwin was by her side ,happily holding  hands and  running in a lavender field,suddenly, Edwin got sucked up into the air like by a thick fog leaving her bent over on her kness in pain.

When she raised her head,she saw her mum and sister laughing at her in a very hysterical and mocking manner.

Rose,Rose,you are shivering, are you sick?,martha,one of the servants who came to her room to borrow some books asked.

Rose,with eyes a little bit open,answered martha,yes ,i am fine,just a bad dream.

Martha pressed for Rose to tell her the dream and after hearing it,told Rose,you need to be careful and stand up for yourself.

Rose knew deep within her that with Edwin  rejecting  Amber and choosing her,the battle line has been drawn between her and her family .

She must learn to navigate whats ahead of her to stay with Edwin.

Little did Rose know that her sister and mum will go all out to accuse her and invite the elders council from the 5 packs ,her fate will be sealed.

If only villeness was personified, it will be Edith Williams, andRose,she is about to find out.

Alpha Williams knows better than to challenge  his luna, most of his nights are filled with tortuous dreams of what happened that day at the retreat but,he loves being an Alpha, he dares not take the risk of confession. 

Amber,still fuming with the rage of betrayal  knew,she had to work hand in hand with mrs Williams  and make Rose pay.

For Amber,all that came across her mind is to strangle Rose,  she needs to come up with a better plan.

Back at Silverstone,Alpha  Edwin had to endure days of longing to have Rose by his side. Benai,his inner wolf was not helping either 

Benai,Edwin's inner wolf whispered to him,what if,she doesn't show up?

She will come, Alpha Edwin answered with a shaky voice.

Rose, had gathered a few of her stuff in preparation of her visit to Silverstone, as his fiance, Alpha Edwin had  requested, she was filled with apprehension and excitement. 

Amber came into the Rose room for the first time since they became teenagers and spoke kindly to Rose.

You must go see him,i will come with you so you won't  feel lonely over there,Amber said.

Rose,accepted Amber's plea wholeheartedly  without knowing it was part of the act to set luna Williams plan in motion.
