Chapter Four

Chapter 4.

It is the matting season,most of the wolves on heat gather tonight to mate,Edwin the grey who merely participates because of Alpha Darius ,his father ,would often find a hidden spot away from the rest until the ceremony is over then he would retreat back to the fortrite castle unnoticed by his  father to avoid answering any form of questions. 

Alpha Williams and his family was on visit to the Silverstone pack and fell during the mating season ,Rose was only asked to chaperone her sister Amber to the ceremony.

Amber is the one that is supposedly on heat not her Rose,it can't be true,she is yet to find her mate,why did she come close to this hill and her she wolf is already on fire ,desperately wanting to be mated.

 His wolf came alive immediately, desperately searching for a mate ,then he saw her where she is alone,hiding from the rest.

Before Edwin knew it,he was right in front of her,he called her name “Rose”,she turned to him with a smile and ran into his arm as they both took on their form and he mated her that night.

 When he got into warmth of the mound between her legs,he whispered, “Rose ,I, Edwin, the grey one,son of  Alpha Darius ,hereby claim you as my mate”.

 I will be your mate Edwin ,she whispered back as he emptied his seeds inside her.

Just then,Amber appeared and in a fury lurched at Rose but Edwin quickly took the brunt of her paws while shielding Rose and he immediately jumped up from sleep.

Thanks Selene, it's all a dream,he muttered while breathing fast while his  brother, Robert, looked down on him and their eyes met as he to go use the bathroom. 

Man,that was wild,you were really moving your hips,then I saw you throw up your left hand as if pushing something away while you were also protecting another,what's going on with you,asked his brother ,Robert.

I need to find her,she is my mate,Robert,you need to find her,get every information necessary about her,I need to claim her before someone else does,Edwin instructed  his brother. 

Okay dude,I will get Beta Tyrion  started on it right away,meanwhile lunch is served by the lake and I am famished.

 Just a minute, Edwin replied as his brother walked away.

He went into the bathroom, stood in front of the mirror as he splashed some water on his face from the wash sink,he took a look at himself  and knew he was becoming a mess without her,I must find her before I leave tomorrow ,he said with a tight lip.

At  lunch,a separate table was set  for Amber  and Edwin,he walked towards it and sat down on a chair .

Amber giggled as she greets him and he barely replied as he asked her if she felt better.

Amber answered that it hurt and she felt better now ontbhe open with him around her.

He looked at her and gave a sneaky smile which made Amber so uncomfortable that for once she would appreciate being a lone. Edwin noticed how uneasy she is and tooped it off with “ maybe you should stop sneaking into people's rooms at all”.

Amber swallowed  so hard that Martha who was standing by had to stiffle a laughter.

I understand  that you are yet to be claimed,Edwin spoke to Amber.

SYes,I hoped you will claim me ,all my life i have been groomed to be yours Amber replied.

I already claimed another ,you should do yourself a favor and find another,with that he left the lunch table and went back into the house.

Amber sat defeated and eyes filed with tears,all her dreams of being an Alpha's wife will be gone ,Martha handed her a box of tissue while holding back from smiling.

Amber snatched the tissue from Martha and continued to dab her face with it ,the dishes before them were untouched  and she has lost appetite to eat. She was wheeled back into the house to lick her wound.

Luna Williams seeing Amber's state when she was brought back to the house went to her to find out what really happened at the lunch but was met with a total silence from a skulking Amber.

She went to her husband and berated him on how he couldn't get his own daughter what she desired,she also had to remind him that the pack will be taken away from them if they failed to marry Amber off to an Alpha so as to produce a heir from another pack,not just any pack but Silverstone pack to be the Alpha of the Hilly pack .

He is the son of an Alpha,the most feared and powerful Alpha,I cannot force him to choose her, we can get any of the other packs Alpha's son's to claim her,Alpha Williams reminded his luna.

No,we are the second most powerful pack after Silverstone, we cannot stoop low to get her married to a lesser pack,luna Williams rebuked her husband. 

You said he is interested in Rose,so,we still have nothing to lose once he claims her as his Luna but,am afraid, Rose may not want him,she is strong willed and has a mind of her own.

You should be making efforts to pull Rose closer to him if you really want to secure our estate and status,my darling wife,said Alpha Williams. 

If Rose gets claimed by Edwin,Amber will be claimed by a lesser pack who do not have anything to offer us,Amber should get the best not Roses crumbs, luna Williams spits.

Suit yourself woman as I do not wish to be bothered by you or this again,,try and pay some attention to Rose,she might be your ticket, Alpha Williams took his leave.

Beta Tyrion,having received instructions from Robert concerning Edwin's request,  immediately  went to work  yet met a brick wall,it was as if the woman in question was not in existence at all if he had not known both Edwin and Robert,he would assume something is definitely wrong with their heads.

Just as he was about to leave that part of the estate,the door on this side of the house opened and the most beautiful woman that Beta Tyrion ever saw emerged, he recognized her,went to her and said,my master commands you to him now.

I do not know your master and no man commands me,Rose replied. 

If you do not come willingly, I will use force,Beta Tyrion added.

This is my home and you will do no such thing else, Alpha Williams, my father, will have you punished,Rose said to him  trying to mask her fear.

Alpha Williams is your father?,a shocked Tyrion asked.

I am Rose,the second daughter of Alpha and luna Williams .

Beta Tyrion apologized and left immediately to tell his findings to Robert and Edwin. 

You are so sure about this? Edwin asked Beta Tyrion,they never spoke about her,I thought they had just the little brat!.

If she is his daughter why is she being treated like a servant, is there something hidden going about her? .He taught that she was just one of the servants, the more he thought about it the more anger felt towards Alpha Williams and more passionate he becomes towards her to protect her so that no one maltreats her ever again.

Go tell Alpha Williams I will love to see him as a matter of importance before I leave tomorrow morning ,do  I make myself clear!,Edwin asked the Beta.

Yes,my lord,I will go tell the Alpha right away,Beta Tyrion  replied.

 It was at that moment  he was so reassured that he cared deeply for her,then he remembered the dream he had earlier in the day ,he was protecting Rose from Amber's attack,now,he will protect her from all and any one whi dares to treat her less.

Rose,Rose,you never told me,you were always running from me,just then, he became  overcame from the heat coming from his inner wolf and he became more drawn and determined to ensure that all who had disrespected her would one day bow before her and kiss her feet.

He turned to his brother and said,  the servants should  get ready as we will leave Hilly pack tomorrow morning, I do not wish to come back here except for one thing,Rose.

Looks like my brother found his mate,he is now a lover boy,the arrogant and feared grey one,who swore to never have a mate has found one and is going really soft for it.

 I am happy  for you,she makes you smile, what if,she refuse you,what if she rejects you?,Robert asked Edwin. 

She is His,

To love.

To care for,

To cherish,

To protect.

Rose will be his Luna.
