Rose's POV

The world outside of Stanley and me appeared to recede even more as we came into closer contact. The sound of distant birdsong and gentle leaf rustling created a natural harmony that perfectly captured our talk. I was unable to resist feeling that the colorful craziness of the festival was worlds apart from that peaceful oasis.

It seemed like we had known one another for a lot longer than this short experience, the way our discussion flowed. We dove into the past, our positions within the pack, and our individual goals and desires as we exchanged tales and insights. With each phrase, our bond became stronger as our thoughts and feelings flowed freely back and forth.
