Chapter Hundred and eleven

Philip's POV

The days after the celebration were different, but not in the manner I had anticipated. I had gotten used to Catherine's presence as the Alpha of our pack, and she would frequently eat with me and talk about our days. However, there was a noticeable shift that I couldn't ignore.

There was a noticeable emptiness in my life since Catherine did not join me for breakfast. I attempted to ignore it, assuming that she could have had a hectic morning, but as the day went on, it turned clear that this was not an isolated incident.

My anxiety increased when Catherine still hadn't arrived by midday. When I inquired with a few pack members about her whereabouts, they reported that she was alone in her room all day.
