Quinn's POV

"You lied." it was Dawn and I was on the call with her. We were still at the table, just wrapping up eating.

"Huh?" I burp, covering my mouth.

"You said you were gonna call as soon as you got there, but it's been a day and I didn't know if you were dead and if I should put up a missing persons report, what happened to the calling plan?" she goes out at me.

I grasp.

I had completely forgotten that I had to call her. Truth be told, I have been thinking of ways that we could avoid punishment, and survive, and Dawn although on my mind, was the least of my worries.

I came here with good hope and have been directly dodging bullets. Lucinda almost killed me, the counsel thinks I'm part of Arthur's crazy vendetta. I just came to heal a child and maybe get to love the father as the bonus, but no, I get to break up a family, and may even die in the next 24 hours.

I don't even have a boyfriend.
