Rejected, that is exactly how all of this feels like. Why, would he entertain me, make me look good in front of Lucinda, do all those nice things that made my body do flip jacks and kicks, only to push me away and pretend that I don't exist?

Like, doesn't he feel the sparks and the energy and the heat?

"Mommy, are you okay?" it was Echo. He is the one that helped me get to the attic. Although my senses are heightened, after the kiss I shared with Arthur, everything just started to smell like him, and for a second, everything just felt the same.
