Quin's POV

We got to the car, and I load my luggage in the boot, whilst Arthur helped Echo buckle up. We finish almost at the same time, get in the car, and Arthur drives us home, I mean, their home, for now.

"How long is the drive?" I ask, trying to make conversation.

"About two hours and a half at most," he replies.

"That long? And are we just going to sit here without any conversation, or are we going to talk about something fun?" I look at both of them with anticipation.

"I wouldn't porter myself to be a fun person Miss Quin. But I can suggest that you sleep this ride out, and when we get home, I can introduce you to the others after showing you your place of rest."

"Whatever," I mumble, looking outside, holding onto my seat belt.

"Maybe we could play a guessing game?" Echo suggests.

I look at him with excitement, "How do you play it?"

"I will I describe something, and if you get it right, you get to be the one who makes us guess," he explains.

"Well, how about we all just

Quin's POV The audacity. That's what this lady has, the audacity. For starters, where did she get the permission to enter someone's house without them being around? Second off, lingerie in the middle of the day, seriously? Do people still do that? What is she, a side dish? Is Arthur really that blunt? I could feel my body radiating with anger I never thought I could reach, and I was ready to fight knowing fully well I would never kill a fly. "I asked you a question," Miss lady girl starts again. "And I asked you the same thing." I speak between my teeth. "Mommy, can I please sleep?" Echo whispers in his sleep. "Okay baby, I will get you to bed just now." I kiss him on his forehead, and smile at him. It's like my stars were aligning, and I was so happy, even if it was for a milisecond."Since you here, I kinda think you should know a thing or two about this place" I continue, "Do you know where Echo sleeps?" I ask. "Excuse me?!" She exclaims, making her face look funny. I chang

Quin's POV I keep running deeper into the forest, my heart beating out of my chest, and I can hear Arthur calling out for me at a distance, but I don't look back, nor back down. My eyes are blurry, and I can feel Lia wailing with me. I try to stop the tears by wiping them away, but all I get is just these bad sobs, that are hard to control."Why?" I scream out aloud, trying to understand, because, what the actual heck is?I look back, trying to see where Arthur is, when I drip over and fall. The impact of the fall is greater than I anticipated it to be, and my head ends up hitting the log that was across the pathway for no reason at all. I don't bother getting up, and I lay there, losing myself in the darkness that hurts greater than the concussion I knew I was going to get when I woke up. *** I am awakened by my daily alarm as it's time for me to eat. I have alarms for my eating schedule as when I'm working, I sometimes forget to eat, which is medically proven unhealthy, and can s

Quin's POV "Wait, but if you left Winter in Windazare because of you know, dad, then why are you here, and how in the world are you Arthur's nanna?" I query, I mean, it doesn't make sense that she is here instead of Windazare."I couldn't stay in that place Quin, it hurt so much that your father was mating with someone else." she explains. "So I divorced him, and I moved. It's not like I was rejecting him, I was just committing in my heart that although he was mate, I deserved better."When she said this, I thought of Arthur and our situation, with him having a fiancee and how it was hard seeing them together, although they were not technically together together when I saw them."Was it easy? To divorce dad, move out and choose to live here?" I ask."Are you worried about Arthur?" all I do is nod, and she takes my hands into mine."Honestly, no, but I survived. Maybe it was because I didn't have a wolf to stop me, nor die when I did, but when I signed those papers, it hurt as hell I'

Quin's POV "I think those are enough questions for the day." Arthur barges into the room, interrupting us. "How long have you been outside listening to us?" I query. "Long enough to know that you are starting to cross the line," he emits. "Not really no," my mom intercedes for me. "Exactly," I add. "Nanna, can you please wait outside? I need to talk to your daughter." he addresses her, and my heart sinks. I wasn't ready for the talk, not after finding out I have a brother and a father, who are both alive, and that my mom was here, in a place that didn't belong to humans, and she was lying the whole time, which I have forgiven her for, but still lied about being a nurse, and that my buried father was her best friend. Let's not forget Airing Dal, a whole nation of wolves that don't have a leader, come on. Who would have thought a place for a people left out by the world, still existed? Whilst I'm still letting my thoughts run wild, my mom stands up and starts to leave. "Are yo

Quin's POV "Arthur, Miss Quinnzel, I heard you wanted to talk to me about something." she looks at us respectively. We were now in the living room, and I was seating next to Arthur, and Lucinda was opposite us."Yes we do," Arthur replies."What would I interest you guys in?" she sits back, folding her arms."Our engagement," Arthur adds."What about it?" she smiles."I'm breaking it off." the moment Arthur said that I moved closer to me, not sure how Lucinda was going to react."Right, and that is happening because?" she isn't shocked or bamboozled, if anything, it's like she was waiting for that. But at the same time, I do feel that this is just the calm before the storm."Quin," Arthur, takes my hand into his, then continues, "She is my mate." he continues."So I've heard." she clears her throat. "So, I just become an afterthought, just like that?" she asks. "What do you mean by that?" Arthur questions. "I mean what happens to me now Arthur? Do I go home and pretend that we both

Quin's POV"Now that this is out the way, I think we should take things slowly, in terms of us, and how that is going to unfold," he states. When he says that, my mind is taking a note of him saying this relationship is so on, but we still need to figure things out, like how he is going to introduce me to things, the pack, and when I will be Luna. In short, when he said that, all I could hear is wedding bells.Lucinda was now out the house, and it was looking a mess. In all of this, I later learned that we woke Echo up. He was with my mom, and when all of this was over, he came out crying, and immediately came to hug me. His father felt betrayed, as this was rather the first time someone was chosen over him. Arthur asked my mom to take Echo to the pack house, so we can clean, and talk. And talk we will.I have a million things I want to ask him, and a million things I don't understand, things that Lia told me that I need more understanding on. Like, what is heat? How does the Luna thi

Quin's POVApproximately thirty minutes after Arthur's departure, my mom comes back with Echo and a guy I didn't know. I later learned that his name was Akela, and he is the pack's Omega.I also got to learn that Akela was more open, playful and fun to be around compared to someone I have recently came to know off. When my mom came back, the house was already clean, and I was trying to find my way around the kitchen. It's been a long day and the only thing that I had eaten was breakfast from the hotel. It's been a long day indeed.I found macaroni, mince, mushroom, cheese, tomato paste, and some spices and my new personal favorite on the stash, mint. Luckily, it was enough to whip up a meal for all of us. Macaroni with meatballs in tomato paste cheese, the last meal that could be whipped with the ingredients of this house. They came in when I was just about to finish. I also learnt what I made was Akela's favorite meal. A few things I noted from Akela was that he had a wife and two da

Arthur's POV After my conversation with Alpha Winter, I immediately traveled back to interrogate the kid. It's rather confusing that the hybrid just disappears into thin air. I could say I was speeding, as within minutes, I was in Aquarius Waters. Our prisons are situated underground for various reasons, one, we don't want the cubs running in the prison, and getting into chance of being killed, number two, in any chance the prisoners break out with the one way that they possibly could as the prison is situated in such a way that it's covered in silver on walls on the poles, and it's not minimal silver, but silver sulfide, there aren't many casualties, hence way it's at the end of Aquarius Waters. We add that to their food, which in turn weakens the prisoners, and they can't do anything even if they want. I get to the prison and I am greed by Fenris, best fighter after me, Sabre, and Akela respectively. "Alpha," he bows down. "How is the prisoner?" I enter, and he follows. I don't

It It Arthur's POV When I get to the door, I stop. What if Winter felt wrong? I know that twins have a connection bigger than mate bonds as they are one. So if one is anxious, the other would feel it as if they are there, if the one is hurt, the other would hurt in the same spot. But what if? Just, what if he felt wrong? "I will take over your body and enter this room if you don't," Ares warns me. I open the door and there she is, standing right there, touching her hair. My heart stops for a second. "Are you real?" I whisper, dropping my phone. Quinnzel pauses, and her heart picks up pace. The moment, it does, I rush and crash into her, hugging her a little too tightly. I take in her scent, it's still as intoxicating and strong. I grin, feeling a sense of completion with her around. "I am real," she coughs. "You squeezing too hard," she adds, and I loosen the grip."Sorry," I mutter, still hugging her. We just stand there, holding on to each other like the world is ending. I a

Quin's POV"Quin," I hear a voice calling me in the darkness and I stop. The voice is monotone, and I can't tell whether it's a man or a woman. I look around with my glowing eyes, but I see nobody. I look at Acai, who also shakes her head. But what I know and am certain of, somebody did call me, and it gave me chills. But I shrug my shoulders, and pretend we didn't hear anything and we continue walking. I am not sure how long I've been out here, and how much longer this has to go on.All I know is that I haven't been hungry or had the urge to use the toilet nor have I felt a tiny ping of wanting to sleep. This is discouraging because it feels like I've only walked for a day or two max and this might take more than that. "Quin," the voice calls out again. I stop yet again and look around to no avail, starting to get freaked out. I try to take a step to see if the voice calls out my name again, and this time I am not surprised, but freaked out. "Quinnzel O' Conner!" the voice beams,

Winter's POVIn approximately ten minutes, we meet Luca. From a distance, her medication spread is already ready to be utilized. Luca has an SUV, and her boot space is enough to assist Marie. We stop the car when we meet hers, and before Dawn gets out of the car, Luca gives Marie the first injection through the window so she she able to breathe. We then open the door, Dawn rushes to place Marie in the boot. Luca then injects Marie with a UV fluid on both arms, switches on a portal fan, and places the fan over her head."What's she doing with her?" she looks at me, anxiously."She's trying to get her energy back. Have you never seen her being treated?" I cue. "No, the doctors back in the city don't allow that," she clarifies. "Well, I always want to know what's happening. But don't worry, our daughter is going to be okay," I try to console her, whilst Luca opens her onesie and puts allergy pads on her chest."What are those?" she continues."Allergy pads. Lucinda's POVAfter packing, I head down, and Shadow is on a phone call with someone, well, more like he is yelling at someone over the phone. "Don't tell me that Lucien! I specifically told you that the investors were coming in today, therefore the Maimi deal should be finalized by then," I could feel his anger radiating through the whole room, and I know that he feels my presence so he tried to finalize the call in a much calmer tone. "Can you please get this done before I get to the office? I will stall the guys. Is that possible?" he asks the other person whose name I believe is Lucien. He nods his head then and he ends the call."I can hear your heartbeat you know," he utters and I come into view. "Hey," I sheepishly laugh, waving."You ready to leave?" he inquires."Sure," I come down with my suitcase and he takes it and carries it for me."Sorry about that," he starts as we head towards the car."Sorry about?""The yelling. Lucinda's POVAfter Queen Mother leaves, I feel lighter. Like I have someone I can trust. There is something about her that makes me want to tell her how I am feeling, and how much whatever I went through hurt me and she doesn't come with a judging heart or a mocking face, but she brings warmth, and for me, that is something I've always craved for, a friend. I hope she is one. I focus on what she asked me for. The wishlist. I sit on the couch and I start thinking hard and wide. What's the one thing that I've always desired? My list would be long if I would start from when I was a kid. But before I can jotter down anything, I call Meriya to help me get a pen and a paper. She comes back with it and I sit on the island to start my list. It doesn't have to be realistic, I tell myself, but it has to be what I've always wanted to do. Queen Mother said she would be a genie for one day, and maybe she could help me achieve these dreams. She doesn't have to help with everything, I mean, I th

Eliza's POVThe past two days were well spent. Lucinda is an interesting child indeed. Besides her life story that she thinks defines her, her character, her personality, her smile, and everything good reminds me of Rue. How she could have grown, how she would have smiled, what type of wolf she would carry, the strength she would possess, and with all that, how I would want to protect her. How I would want to see her happy. How I would want her to have all the love that she proceeds her.And when I look at Lucinda, I want all of this for her. The love, the happiness and the joy, as the Luna of this pack, and as my son's fiancee. I want her to have the best mother-in-law. I can be her in-law by the rules and regulations of this world, but I know that by now, our relationship as a family will be anything but quiet, random, and normal. It's gonna have flare, sparkles, and tiny big promises and everything she has ever wished for as a child, and what she desired as she grew up. "Roughly

Nanawe's POV"So, this is what is gonna happen gentlemen and esteemed ladies, I am going to go home and ask Miss Dawn, the future Luna of Windazare if she would fancy staying in Erza for a month, and if she says yes, consider yourselves lucky, and if not, well, good luck trying to convince her to stay. I mean, she already doesn't see eye to eye with the counsel since some people, I won't mention names, are so keen on having her killed." I clear my throat. "Nanawe!" Claudius calls out."Yes love?" I smile at him, tilting my head. No matter how angry this man is with me, I am still head over hills for him, I still act like a child. "Are you trying to rebel against the counsel?" he raises a question."Oh goodness no. I would never do that. This couple just reminds me of someone I didn't save before. I guess you could say I am trying to make amends for it," I look at Arthur, trying to not get emotional."Is this based on your emotions?" Phoenix replies and I can feel his aura being enra

Dawn's POVAfter getting ready as Queen Mother has instructed, I feel the need to visit Quin. Baby Marie will be staying with Nanna Ave, and Sabre will be keeping an eye on Quin and Echo. The rest of the house will be going. So when I am done, I quickly head to where Quin is sleeping. When I get there, Sabre is standing guard and he freely lets me in. I enter the room and Quin is just lying there. Her eyes are closed and for the first time, I want her to talk. Even if she will go on about neurosurgery or whatever she does, I just want her to open her mouth. I feel my breathing getting choked up, but still, I will myself to get closer to her. When I am within arm's length, I take her hand into mine, and I sit down, tears rolling down my eyes. "Hey Quin," I smile. "How are you, girl?" I wipe my tears. I am not sure how to respond to what my mom did to me, and in a way, I am trying to put myself in her shoes, but I am failing to comprehend how she did what she did and still lived without regret in her heart. For her to separate us to keep us safe is one thing, but choosing to let us stay separated is a choice she could have undone. I could have met my sister in the city if she wasn't sure how she would turn out, and we would have had a bond. I would protect her with my life and maybe then, I would have found my mate sooner. But no, she did what she did, and I don't know how to look at her without anger and disappointment in my heart. "Dawn, if your mom did what my mom did, what would you do?" I ask her. "I would slap her," she utters, seemingly contemplating her response."What?" I wasn't expecting that."That would be my first tho
