Quin's POV

"Arthur, Miss Quinnzel, I heard you wanted to talk to me about something." she looks at us respectively. We were now in the living room, and I was seating next to Arthur, and Lucinda was opposite us.

"Yes we do," Arthur replies.

"What would I interest you guys in?" she sits back, folding her arms.

"Our engagement," Arthur adds.

"What about it?" she smiles.

"I'm breaking it off." the moment Arthur said that I moved closer to me, not sure how Lucinda was going to react.

"Right, and that is happening because?" she isn't shocked or bamboozled, if anything, it's like she was waiting for that. But at the same time, I do feel that this is just the calm before the storm.

"Quin," Arthur, takes my hand into his, then continues, "She is my mate." he continues.
