127. Banished

Louis had been brought straight to the prison of the Wolf Pack. It was a really safe spot from which one could not leave. He sat on the wet ground, eyes closed, as though his body and mind were separate, chained by his feet in a prison inside a cave.

That same day, Alpha Stourin declined to speak with him. He needed to take care of unfinished business because the Mystic Moon's hidden position had been found.

When the guards arrived and hauled him away, the day had not yet broken. He was regarded like a worthless werewolf, and it seemed as though his beta designation had lost all significance.

Louis recognized that the time for his judgment had finally arrived when they dumped him at Alpha Stourin's feet in the throne room. Head down, hands cuffed behind his back, he remained thus. He had no shirt on, and he could still see the mud in the cave.

The Alpha commanded, "Louis, get up and look at me while I'm talking to you."
