KayaHad Wolfe not gotten there and interrupted me back at the diner, I would've found out what shady business my dad was busy with and what the hell the people of Icedale had to do with it. All they kept talking about was about some Recreation Project and it was all I kept thinking about. At some point I started to wonder if it had some connection with that doctor. Could it be that this Recreation project was the same as the werewolf specie rebirth he spoke of? Wow, my dad is a rich billionaire with evil and malicious intent. Not such a shocker since he wasn't parent to surprise or disappoint me. I needed to find out what they were up to and for that I needed to go back to the house.I was still in the cabin as Wolfe had just headed outside for some reason. I immediately became alarmed when I heard something crashing. I quickly rushed to the window to look and there I saw Wolfe standing and looking like he was about to fight someone. That someone looked exactly like the guy we save
WolfeI wasn't entirely happy with Kaya just leaving, no, I wasn't happy at all. I was frustrated and more angry at myself. I just wanted to protect him and I wanted him to see that.He was at his parents home now with that man he called father, whom I also didn't trust. I also saw him at the diner earlier today and wondered what he was doing there and why Kaya started acting weird when I arrived. The crescant moon has risen and I was out going for a run to clear my head and keep my rut under control. I literally had a hard bulge bouncing between my legs inside my shorts.I didn't shift because then it would be easy for my wolf to take control and then he would storm after our mate. I could've easily locked him up in the cabin, but I wanted to be a good boyfriend and he was open to going on another date with me.I soon came to stop at the falls. I then looked up to see the figure of the vampire standing at the top. I leaped up and landed beside him."Fine," I said. "I'll assist you."
WolfeI was finding it difficult to completely trust Duke. I kept my guard up around him no matter what, at least that also helped me from constantly worrying about Kaya.I may have also given, trusting him, a thought. I took a first step by texting him our plan. Apparently Duke was taking me to trash the Red Crescent headquarters which was also where he was held captive.Apparently the headquarters was right here in Icedale. I needed to see this for myself, so I was curious."Where the fuck are we going?" I asked after texting Kaya and then putting my phone away.We were heading further into the eastern forest behind the large hill. We stopped at a tunnel."Patience, brother," Duke said, holding his hand up as a signal to pause. "This is how I escaped. If they haven't found this route by now, then it would be safe to use, if not...then it's most likely filled with traps.""Then how can you be sure that it doesn't have traps?""It's why you're here," he looked at me smiling. "If this
WolfeAfter we made it through the tunnel and destroyed every robotic machine that got in our way we finally reached this underground facility he told me about. He was in fact right. There was a hideout right underneath the city of Icedale, all along using the coverup of being Icedale mines when it actually was an entire temple. I used to read about this place, the moongoddess worshipping grounds. It was now turned into a shady research facility. I had no idea such place really existed. We were standing at the end of the tunnel we came in with. The entire area was concealed within a large dome right beneath the town. There was a large glowing orb at the top, looking as if it was the only source of light and energy. They were using optics and solar energy to power the place up and a lot of it. Where did they get all that light from?If it was from the town above then there had to be a massive hole for the light to go through. Unless the light source is coming from somewhere else and
WolfeAfter defeating the last of my pursuers, I proceeded further into the temple to find Duke. I only followed his scent and the further I went in, the lesser this place appeared holy and sacred to me. There were more white painted walls than stone walls. I found a set of stairs leading down and followed them into a long corridor.Bodies and blood were lying around. I could see that Duke wasn't holding back. There were several rooms and in each and every room, I saw devices and tools that made this seem like a torture dungeon.I didn't stop moving though as I felt the ground trembling and it had to mean that something big was on its way.I saw another door left open and in there was where Duke's scent was leading me off too. Just as I walked there, he came out with a head in his hand."Who's that?" I asked. It looked as if the man was in agony during his last moments.Duke looked at the head before he wiped some blood off his mouth. His fangs shrinking back into size. "Someone I had
KayaI was sitting at the dinner table with my fork in my hand, staring at my plate while poking at a small green pea. I couldn't remember when last we sat around the table like a family and it was boring the hell out of me. I missed Wolfe and for a moment there I hated the way the matebond could make me feel sometimes. Instead of giving me a chance to be by myself, learn to be independent, and prove to my mate that I could handle myself, it filled me with feelings of longing and regret. The worst feeling of all was the horniness. I thought the heat would be gone for a couple of days but it was slowly starting to come back. Even now I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of white shorts, while my parents were dressed in full winter gear, already talking about how cold it was. My mom was acting like the happily married wife of this house, pretending she was happy to see my father. Meanwhile, he was also pretending that he was happy to be home and that he didn't just find out
KayaMy father hit the wall, the side of his face first, spitting out blood after I punched him so hard I heard a crackling sound at the moment of impact. He wiped his nose with his hand and saw that it was bleeding. I wanted to do more. He looked up at me and smiled through his bloody teeth. "It's you, isn't it?" He began laughing. "How could not have noticed it all this time! You carry his mark on your neck!"I then realized what he was talking about. I widened my eyes as I stepped back. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. He wasn't supposed to know."My son, is the omega! No, my son is god!" He got up and the sleeve of his shirt to clean his mouth and nose. He spat out the excess blood on the floor again and then he began to tilt his head, his jaw making crackling sounds as he moved it, stirring it around a little. The blood on his shirt faded and so did the scent as if it simply just vaporized into nothingness. His eyes changed yellow and two of his teeth sharpened growing in
WolfeA low growl rumbled in my chest after I suddenly felt this piercing pain my chest. I placed a hand on my chest, seeing no blood or wound and this this feeling of dread and pain pooled into my chest. It wasn’t mine. It belonged to Kaya. “We have to go!” I said to Duke and began sprinting before leaping into the air to shift. However, just as I was ready to shift, another piercing pain hit me, only this time in my back. Suddenly my body wouldn’t shift like I wanted it to and I fell on the ground. I reached for my back where this throbbing pain came from and pulled out a dagger. “What is this?!” I asked and looked back. My eyes widened in shock. “I’m sorry, Wolfe…I don’t know what’s happening to me!” Duke said, holding one shaking hand out as if he was the one who threw it. “You son of a bitch!” He betrayed me! He was a back stabbed all along. “You’re with them!” I growled and hurled myself towards him. I may not be able to shift, but I still had my claws and teeth, and they
