Chapter 50

Wolfe

I wasn't entirely happy with Kaya just leaving, no, I wasn't happy at all. I was frustrated and more angry at myself. I just wanted to protect him and I wanted him to see that.

He was at his parents home now with that man he called father, whom I also didn't trust. I also saw him at the diner earlier today and wondered what he was doing there and why Kaya started acting weird when I arrived.

I didn't shift because then it would be easy for my wolf to take control and then he would storm after our mate. I could've easily locked him up in the cabin, but I wanted to be a good boyfriend and he was open to going on another date with me.

I soon came to stop at the falls. I then looked up to see the figure of the vampire standing at the top. I leaped up and landed beside him.

"Fine," I said. "I'll assist you."
