Later that same day I came back to the cabin. I finally had time to clear my head and cool down. I didn't sense Wolfe anywhere on the premises and assumed he was at the underground temple.

I found Beast outside, chopping wood. It's all he kept doing ever since he came here as if it was all he knew.

There was still this whole mystery behind him and I was hoping to getting to know him better. He did hear me coming before he turned around and handed me a can of beer.

"Uhhh..." I stared at the can of beer.

"We're immune to the effects of alcohol. Not even an unborn pup can be affected, it gets dissolved before it even reaches your womb. So even if you are pregnant, you can relax."

"Sorry," I chuckled. "It's just that the last time I held a can of beer was back at Lakies when I still used to go out with my friend, Micah. Well, ex-friend if I'm being honest..."

"Oh, Wolfe told me about her."

"He did?"

"Yeah. She better be glad I wasn't here, or I wouldn't have spared any of them!"

"
