JET POVWhen I heard that a Fae was enrolled to start in school I immediately made my way here. I knew it was Lily, and I had a lot to discuss with her. Plus, I really missed her and needed to see with my own eyes that she was alive and well.I convinced them to let me be a teacher, and I used a spray that masked my scent and changed it to that of a wolf. Nobody would be able to tell that I was a Fae. To say I was shocked when I first saw her would be an understatement. Gone was the innocent eleven year old girl I had left. In her place stood a young woman who looked to have gone through way too much for the small amount of years she had lived.I was bewildered that it took her so long to recognize me, but when she did she was irate. I have no clue how she managed to keep her powers under control, and although she was mad I couldn’t help but be thrilled that I found her. Seeing Lily now makes my past decisions twenty times worse. Once she told me that she made her first kill at age el
LILY POVI’m so nervous. I really wish I wasn’t, but for some strange reason I’m more nervous than I’ve ever been.I’ve fought against seven vamps on my own and won. I’ve fought against several wolves on my own and won. Hell, I had my first kill at age eleven. I was nowhere near this nervous for any of those, and they were life threatening!Yet, one tiny date leaves me shaking in my boots. Literally, I’m shaking in my ankle boots.I decided to actually put some effort into myself for this date. I’m wearing a dark purple dress. It’s so tight it shows off all of my curves. It’s material is scrunched and it cuts off mid-thigh. It has one strap that goes over my left shoulder. Next to the strap is another strap that’s an inch thick and white, with beads designing it.I paired the outfit with my four inch heel ankle boots. My hair is hanging in loose curls with my bangs in a side French braid. My makeup is minimal going with a light purple eye shadow, liner, mascara, and a clear coat of li
We were all ready go. It was safe to say that if a passing student saw us, they would think we were gonna go rob a bank.Everybody was decked out in black, and the guys had a black ski mask covering their face. I tried to tell them that they looked ridiculous, but they wouldn’t listen to me. They insisted it was a necessity, so that if we were spotted, they wouldn’t be recognized.I just let them have their fun. It wouldn’t do any good to point out that they would know their scents, especially Colton.I tried to talk Colton out of coming because if his dad found out he was involved all hell would break loose for him. He reassured me that it wouldn’t matter if he found out. His dad already made his life hell, and he couldn’t do anything to make it worse. I couldn’t help but think that there were many ways his dad could make his life worse.I had four daggers, a gun, my bow and arrows, and a sword as weapons. The guys went a little less drastic and only brought one gun each. They prefer
DOM POVAfter hearing Lily’s voice I was extremely relieved; all these years of wondering if she was still alive, and I finally have my answer. Not only is she alive and well, but she’s more powerful than any Fae I’ve ever heard of.When Theo told me how fast she whipped out a dagger and killed that vamp, I couldn’t help the smug grin that took hold. Everyone told me I was being too hard on her, or that she was just a little girl. Looks like my training and discipline paid off.Geo caught my grin and scowled. I knew he was jealous because I raised his daughter, but as far as I’m concerned I am Lily’s dad. She’s my baby girl, my princess, and nobody will ever take her away from me. We share a special bond that even her mother couldn’t compete with. Lily is a shining example of a daddy’s girl.Geo, Sara, and I have been discussing Lily’s future. She technically is the queen of both courts. She was the first born for both Sara and I and Geo and Sara. Geo does have another child, but the r
I must admit that I look flipping awesome, and I feel like a bad ass ninja.I’ve got two swords strapped to my back, a wide belt full of daggers, a couple guns, and several more daggers in random places on my body. Plus a few throwing stars tucked into any place available.I quickly spray myself with the scent erasing spray and put up my veil. I now have blonde hair, am wearing basic jeans and a t shirt, and I’m a dude. Satisfied I turn to let the guys okay it.“That’s freaky. You could for real pass as a guy,” Duke says.“So, do I pass inspection?” I verify.“Yeah, you do,” Cade assures me.I turn to Colton and look him directly in. the eye. “Are you sure you want to come? Your dad is probably going to lose his life today. Is that something you can handle? If not then I completely understand. I don’t think I could handle that.”He thinks on it for a minute, and then nods his head. “Yeah I want to go. It’ll be hard losing my dad, but in all honesty he probably deserves to die. He’s do
I woke up and found myself in Andy’s room at the royal castle, yet again. I swear I have had more cases of deja vu in the past couple months than I have in my entire life. My stab wound is a bit sore, but it’s mainly just my body in general. It’s stiff and tender.I look down and realize that Andy must have changed me into my pajamas. Speaking of Andy, I’m about to whoop his ass!All my wounds are long forgotten, as I march straight down the stairs into the kitchen. I’m vaguely aware of the fact that my parents, brother, Geo, Zen, Nash, Sam, Colton, and Andy’s family plus Travis are sitting at the table watching me.Andy is leaning against the counter smiling at me.“Hey babe, are you feeling alright?” He asks concerned.I completely blow his question off and walk until I’m standing right I’m front of him. I give my best death glare trying to intimidate him, and from the way he gulps I know it’s working. He clears his throat, “Uhm, what’s wrong? Why do you look like you’re about to pun
Once I was dressed in my sleeveless little black dress we made our way to the club.Shots were passed around and everybody drank to a job well done. Most of the Fae came out, and the expressions on every ones face were hilarious. Mouths dropped to the floor, eyes about popped out of their sockets, and I’m fairly sure I saw several strings of drool hanging out.Grimacing, I made my way to the dance floor. Moving my body with the beat I danced the night away. When I finally reached my dancing limit, I started wondering where Andy was. I had several guys try to dance with me, and normally he would have beaten them to death by now.I let the bond guide me to him and found him in a very, shall we say, compromising position. Some barely dressed blonde was grinding against him as if she was the stripper and he was her pole. The only reason I wasn’t furious with him is because not only could I feel his discomfort and annoyance, but I could see it.I was trying not to laugh because he was pres
The next few days went by agonizingly slow.I was depressed about the fact that Colton was betraying me, but I wasn’t showing it to anybody. Andy had noticed a difference in me, but I had managed to block my emotions out so he couldn’t get a good read. I knew that I should be telling them about Colton, but I couldn’t help but hold a little hope that I was wrong.Little did I know that had I told somebody a life wouldn’t have been lost.Colton kept up his act and was still pretending to be my bestie. I had yet to call him out on it, but I planned to tonight. I had no idea how to even approach the subject, but I knew that it had to be done. I couldn’t go around living with and being friends with a liar. After a lot of thought I had decided that I would confront him after dinner when it was just family. I wasn’t dumb enough to do it alone. I know that I’m powerful, but he had to be just as powerful. He was leading the vampires and had planned out this whole elaborate scheme; obviously he
