Chapter 24

We were all ready go. It was safe to say that if a passing student saw us, they would think we were gonna go rob a bank.

Everybody was decked out in black, and the guys had a black ski mask covering their face. I tried to tell them that they looked ridiculous, but they wouldn’t listen to me. They insisted it was a necessity, so that if we were spotted, they wouldn’t be recognized.

I just let them have their fun. It wouldn’t do any good to point out that they would know their scents, especially Colton.

I tried to talk Colton out of coming because if his dad found out he was involved all hell would break loose for him. He reassured me that it wouldn’t matter if he found out. His dad already made his life hell, and he couldn’t do anything to make it worse. I couldn’t help but think that there were many ways his dad could make his life worse.
