When I walked into the Unseelie court I was pleasantly surprised. I was fully expecting to see a dark gloomy place that was in-caged with sharp ice. Yet when I took my first step on their territory I found it to be a lively atmosphere and welcoming. I also didn't expect to walk into a party, but that's exactly what happened. The moment I walked into their Palace the party began with cheers and shouts of welcoming. It was rather shocking to see just how elegant they made every thing. Any thing and every thing was made out of ice. The buildings themselves were made and shaped from ice. Even the chandelier was made out of several long ice cycles. The floor itself was ice, but it was sanded and buffed to the point that it was no longer slippery. I felt like I was walking on water, frozen of course, but water none the less. If it wasn't made out of ice, then it was some how incorporated into it. For example, the massive dining room table. It was made from wood, but had elegant spirals of i
ANDY’S POVI watched her leave.I watched my mate walk away from me.I watched as her face dropped with disappointment.I desperately wanted to go with her or force her to stay with me, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I saw her devastated face as she cast one last longing glance at the house. I’m fairly sure she saw me standing there, watching her, but she didn’t acknowledge me.As time progressed I was falling deeper and deeper into despair. It seemed I was the only one that put any blame on Lily. Not even May was angry with her. Sam and Nash are hardly speaking to me. They were disappointed in my actions. They considered Lily a sister, and were so mad at the things I said to her that they both refused to so much as look at me for weeks.I was hardly eating and barely left my room. I was officially the next king, so I had to attend the classes for that. I also had training, and that was where I let out my pent up rage. Hardly anyone would willingly spar with me. I may have
LILY POVAfter a minute or so I felt myself materialize and gain mass once again. That has got to be the weirdest thing to ever happen to me. I actually had to pat myself down to make sure I was all there. Taking a relieved breath in, I surveyed my surroundings. I could feel my face scrunching in confusion. It appears that I’m at the school? Why on earth . . . ?My question was answered when a throat clearing brought me swirling around. Standing there in front of me was Andy.He was rubbing the back of his neck looking extremely guilty. He stood there drinking me in for several minutes before I broke the silence.“What am I doing here? And how did I get here?” I demand.“Well you see . . .” Andy trails off, clearly at a loss for words.“Oh for red skittles everywhere, spit it out!” I scream.“What’s with you and red skittles?” Nash asked with a grin.“Umm, they’re delicious! What kind of dumb question was that?” I grin at him.One day in class I had brought a bag of skittles and was p
For the second time I find myself in a stunned and frozen state, but this time I pulled myself out of it within a second.“You have a lot of balls showing up here, Colton,” I sneer at him.“I figured I’d go for the dramatic entrance. Going by the looks on all your faces I’d say it went pretty well,.” Colton says amused.“It was really stupid of you to come here. I didn’t have the chance to kill you last time, but I sure as hell am going to now.” Before I even finished my sentence I had thrown my dagger at him while simultaneously shooting him. I quickly threw my hand back and used air to hold back all of the others. I refused to let any one else die on my watch. He somehow managed to dodge both my knife and all my bullets, so I took off running for him. Once I was within range I jumped and spun my leg around, nailing him in the jaw with my foot.He stumbled a bit, but quickly regained his balance. We exchanged hits for several minutes before backing off to catch our breath.“Why are y
I hope that you guys have enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it! Thanks for sticking with me to the end. This chapter is a long one, but it is a potential sequel/spin off. I'm going to go ahead and put what I have written in this one chapter so be prepared. I do not have a title yet, so bare with me.let me know if this story is something you all would be interested in having me complete!Chapter 1As per usual I am woken up by my idiot brothers. Kaemen attempted to yank me out of my bed. I quickly used air to shove him away, but Ryker had managed to sneak up while I was distracted. A moment later I shoot right out of bed — completely soaked — with a high pitched squeal. Ryker quickly took off running through my doorway, knowing full well that he was about to get drenched. “Seriously, Ryker!” I yell and begin to chase him after him. Unfortunately for me, I’m still trying to wake up, so he’s a lot faster than me at the moment. I hear him bound down the stairs, and just as
I was running for my life.Praying to whatever higher power I could, I dared to hope that I would make it out of here alive. I knew it was risky to break into the Castle of Royal Wolves, but I was starving. Though now I’m really wishing I would have just let myself suffer. I don’t know that even a sliver of food is worth all of this.Making a sharp left turn, I run right into a fleshy wall. Momentarily stunned, I could have sworn I turned sharp enough to miss it, yet here I am on the ground rubbing my sore nose. Not understanding how I wound up on the floor, I look up only to realize that it, in fact, was not a wall but a werewolf in its human form. This particular werewolf was currently standing there staring into space, unknowingly providing me with an excellent escape opportunity. Even knowing that I should be using every precious second wisely, I couldn’t help wasting a couple of them to take a quick glance at him, and after taking in as much of that fine piece of man candy as I c
Walking to my current home, I pass a human compound. Humans have become a rarity. Between the millions of lives lost during the wolf and vampire war, which is still going on, and the vampires picking them off for a snack, there just were hardly any left.I loved humans. Being an Fae caused us to want to play, it was in our blood, but only crossing paths with violent supernatural beings I rarely got to be myself. On that note, I decided that I was stopping. It was a temptation that even I could not resist. Besides, I still need food because those pesky wolves made me drop everything I risked my life for. Such a waste of time and more importantly energy.Once again, the perks of being Fae were making themselves known. We had the ability to conceal ourselves from human eyes. I suppose you could say that we had the ability to turn invisible, but only to humans. Letting myself be visible, I made my way to the market. Picking up some bread, some meat, and cheese I make my way over to pay, a
Before my parents disappeared, they told me the story of how they believe the war began. It wasn’t a pretty story; in fact, it was downright the most jacked up romance story I had ever heard. Genetics can truly be a bitch sometimes, but I’m getting ahead of myself. It first started with the vampires and the werewolves. It’s not very common for a wolf to have a vamp mate. The reason it’s so uncommon is because if one drop of vamp blood enters the werewolves body said wolf is instantly dead. This is the same for vamps, one drop and they die. Well, it just so happened that fate had a sense of humor. Fate had paired one of the royal wolves with the daughter of the vamps president. This of course did not go over well. Both parties were worried the royal children would lose control and mark each other, resulting in the death of both. It’s been said that when wolves and vampires find their mate their immediate response is to mark and mate. The marking usually happens during the mating, and a
